"Stay back Princess!" Cade screamed at her, jumping over a fallen log. His head was pounding and his whole body ached, but he kept running. No point in stopping now…

Chelsea broke heartedly looked at Willow, or was it Not-Willow.

Uh oh…they're gaining… Cade sped up as much as he could, which wasn't that much. "C'mon…." He said through heavy breaths. He noticed a low hanging branch ahead of him and jumped, grabbing onto it and pulling himself up the tree.

Harper snapped to attention, her instincts taking over. She grabbed her dagger and lept into action, fighting the guards with a deadly snake-like speed, trying to not use her powers.

One of the guards swung at Quinn. She flicked her wrist and he stopped in midair, taking out her short swords and running towards Cade and Scarlet. Four more guards ran after her.

( I think Quinn might go back in with Scarlet and Cade because the Queen has her father )

I'm not going to make it. . . Quinn thought as she continued to run. C'mon, do something, Quinn. She bit her lip and focused on another power. After a few seconds, Quinn was replaced with a small white rabbit running towards Cade and Scarlet.

Cade climbed to the middle of the tree and looked out, seeing Quinn join him and the princess. "What are you doing?!" He yelled to them. "I told you to stay back!"

Does it look like I can talk. I'm a rabbit, Cade. She thought to herself, continuing to run. This is it. I'm going to die from embarrassment. Quinn had never used her power, unless it was during Hide and Seek. Other than that, she never shape shifted.

If this was a less serious situation, Cade would have laughed and made fun of Quinn. A few guards stopped under the tree. One began to climb after him, while another removed some kind of gun from it's holster.

Scarlet yanked a crossbow from the hands of a gurad and fired at the one climbing Cade's tree, calling to Quinn and firing at anyone who came near to Cade. Out of no where, an arrow whistled by and lodged itself in her stomach, deep.

"Scarlet!" Cade screamed as he saw an arrow lodge itself in her stomach. He jumped down from the tree and ran over to her, dodging the guards.

All the noise was sucked out of the world around her as she fell to the ground, almost in slow motion, the crossbow yanked out of her grasp by a guard.

Cade ran up and knocked out the guard who had taken the crossbow. "Scarlet! Hey, are you conscious?!"

All Scarlet could see was red as warm blood poured from her wound, the arrow tangled in the briars. She opened her mouth to scream, but nothing came out. The pain swelled into a mind-numbing crescendo and every one of her worst nightmares flashed before her eyes, which were open wide in terror and shock. "Cade…?", she croaked, unable to move.

"Okay that's a yes…" Cade slung Scarlet's arm over his shoulder after he shot a guard with the crossbow. "Can you walk?"

Scarlet opened her mouth to answer but only ended up hacking up enough blood to stain her whole dress red again. Her mother's voice taunted her.
