He realized he was getting upset and took a deep breath, “s-sorry, you’re right we should just go.”

"Thank you…"

He interlocked their arms just to make sure he was steady before slowly walking out of the restaurant.

He smiles sadly.

As soon as they were outside, Alex started to lose it again. “I can’t believe…”

"C-Calm down…"

“I-I’m sorry I just-“ he turned to Landyn, tears in his eyes, “you deserve better than that!”

Landyn was already crying. "No I don't…

“Yes you do! You deserve the whole universe and then some extra!”

"…" He cried worse.

He hummed quietly, trying to calm him down.

He hugged him tightly.

“I still can’t believe that happened..”

"Is everything a lie…?"

“I don’t know Landyn…shit now I almost wish we’d asked him more questions.”

“Okay….but we’re gonna have to face this at some point…”

He htd his face in the crook of his neck.

“I’m so sorry Landyn…”

“Y-yeah….sorry…” he fell silent, he had so many questions but he was sure that Landyn didn’t know the answers either.

He forgot where they were. "We should get going…"
