(Shortcake, not cheesecake. Lol. I wish it was cheesecake…
Lol. I don’t remember what we did in choir… Oh, that’s because I was in Gym on my birthday and not choir when I was in 7th grade… I lost my socks in my 13th birthday, in the morning, and after gym… It was great…)
Rose made her way to the library and sat down at an empty table. After setting her food out in front of her, she pulled her phone out of her pocket and opened up the book app on it. She sighed and started to read the boom she was currently enthralled with as she ate.
(Oof sounds terrible xD
Shortcake… ughf rj rj rnekdd d can I come to your house and take some PLEAE)
The guy from earlier came peering into the library, holding a few books. He walked in, grumbling about lazy friends. He walked across the library, catching sight of Rose but not saying anything yet. He deposited the books into the bookdrop, then made his way over.
“Er… hey Rose!”
(If you can get here. Lol. ;D)
Rose blinked and glanced up from the book on her phone. She swallowed what was in her mouth before nodding at him.
“Hey. What’re you doing here?” she questioned, inwardly cringing at how ticked off she sounded.
(takes the next immediate flight)
“O-oh, um… just returning some books.” He couldn’t help getting caught off-guard from the tone in her voice.
“So you eat lunch up here? They let you?”
(Lol.)
Rose nodded and set her phone down on the table. “Yes and yes. What books were you returning?” she asked, hoping that it would make up for her earlier tone.
“Returning? Oh, my friend reads a lot of managas and I read stuff about reptiles.” He smiled faintly. “What do you like to read?”
Rose shrugged with a blush. “Just about everything. Fantasy is my favorite, though.”
The biy nodded, smiling a bit more. “Awesome. I love fantasy. Whatnare you reading now?” He sat down across from her.
“Oh… It’s, um— It’s called Entwined. It’s on an app on my phone where you can read people’s stories,” Rose explained with a shrug.
“Sounds cool,” He hummed, smiling. “Maybe I should get an account? What’s the book about?”
Rose blinked and blushed a little, glancing down at her phone, which she had picked up again. “Soulmates…” she mumbled.
“Soulmates?” He asked gently. “Oh. I didn’t know you liked that type of stuff.”
Rose shrugged and looked down at her phone. “It’s sort of ancient Grecian myth, too. That’s how they find their soulmates: they’re part of this group of people descended from the Greek gods and demigods,” she explained.
The boy blinked, grinning lightly again. “That sounds really cool. Creative. Who wrote it?”
“Well, everyone goes by a username, and hers is @agatharoza,” Rose said. “It’s pretty good so far.”
The boy messed with his fingers and nodded. “Great to hear! Well… I guess I’ll leave you to it.”
Rose nodded slowly and glanced between her phone in her lap and the food in front of her. “Sure. Have a good lunch…” she trailed off, realizing that she didn’t actually know this boy’s name.
The boy smiled a little before standing and he waved as he began to walk out. He quietly congratulated himself, for finally talking to Rose. The smartest person he knew.
Rose blinked as he walked away, shaking her head before looking back down at her phone in her hands. Who was he, again? Who was in her grade that would remember so much about her?
No one, really. (Taking up narration lol). No one really ever talked to this boy. No one knew him (in this grade) and he was never really remembered. Just an average face that wasn’t really anything special compared to the smart, brilliant ones.
(Lol. Could we skip? Idk what to do…)
(Oh sure, lmao. To when?)
(I… have no idea… Lol. Can you think of anything?)
(I can’t :(
Let’s just go with the flow)
(Urgh… Okay… Can you start this time? 😁)
(Oof I forgot to do this lmao)
(Lol. Dw, I do that all the time.)
