"Yeah. I'm glad that you're my friend.", he said.
"Yeah. I'm glad that you're my friend.", he said.
Friend… She pressed her lips together and nodded. Not assistant – friend.
Not friend… more than that. "How are you doing?", he asked her.
Robin swallowed quickly. "Fine. You?"
"Fine." The word carried no meaning to him. "Any complaints you'd like to bring up?"
"No," she murmured. "Why would there be?"
"Just in case.", he said. In case I've messed up.
"In case of what?" She blushed quickly. "Sorry, that was intrusive…"
"In case I haven't been good to you. I want to be sure you're happy.", he said, his voice full of feeling for her.
She looked briefly surprised. "Oh. I'm very happy," she assured him.
"Good. You can always tell me if you're not or you just need anything." He finished his food and dug through his wallet.
She reached for her purse to pay for her meal.
"I'll pay. Don't worry about it." He patted her hand.
She blushed. "Okay."
He pulled out some money and pinned it to the table. "Anything else you want before we go?", he asked her.
"Is there anything you want to do?"
"Nope!" He got up and started walking.
She scrambled to her feet and followed him.
"We don't have much time before we board. We'll have to make our way to the gates. Are you okay with that?", he said quickly to match his walking speed.
"Yes," she replied, matching his step quickly.
They got to the gates and choose two seats. "The beach at Tybee Island has a lot of seashells.", he told her with a smile.
She couldn't hold in her excitement at this – "I love seashells!"
"Me too! I was hoping to get some! We'll have to get up early though.", he told her. And then we'll see the sunrise together. Together.
"I won't mind," she replied happily fiddling with her necklace.
"Awesome! That's when it's best to look for shells." He looked her in the eyes. "And watch the sunrise."
"I love watching sunrises," she replied. Her eyes felt locked in his, and she couldn't look away.
Her eyes are beautiful… "First class passengers now boarding!", the man at the desk announced.
"Time to go.", he told her. He got up and walked to the gates while taking out his ticket.
Robin caught her breath for a second, then hurried after him. Seeing his ticket in her hand, she pulled out her own.
Isaac held out his ticket for the man at the desk. The man scanned it an nodded then looked at Robin.
Robin handed him her ticket.
