For he first time in a long time, she didn't have nightmares, or visions or cold sweats. She slept peacefully. In the middle of the night, she subconsciously changed back into her Fae form.

When she shifted, Drake wrapped her in his arms, still asleep.

She breathed in deeply and smiled this is a dream, it has to be.
(Time skip to morning?)

Drake woke up to the sun filtering through the trees and his arms wrapped around Valtira. He was a little confused at first and wanted to pull away but he didn't. He stayed where he was.

Groaning in protest to get up, valtira reluctantly opened her eyes ….that's not my bedroom wall…..and these aren't blankets around me… She inhales sharpy and shoved herself away, unsheathing a hidden dagger and pointing at the body while trying to shake the sleep from her body "dr-drake?" All the memories came rushing back from the night before "oh my stars, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to…" She dropped the dagger and backed away slowly

Drake chuckled, a low, warm sound as he sat himself up, "It's fine, V. You don't have to apologise."

She smiled at his laugh, despite herself and sheathed her dagger "nothing got…weird did it?"

Drake shook his head, "No, we just slept, nothing more."

She let out a breath of relief "best night sleep I've had in years." She admitted quietly. She broke from her momentary trance "I'm going to find a place to wash up." She said and walked off towards a wooded part near the lake

"Have fun." Drake collapsed back in the grass and closed his eyes once more, resting his hands behind his head.

He smiled at his playfulness "I will,"

Drake chuckled and gave her a two fingered salute.

She sat at the edge of the lake, trying her best to clean the dirt and grime that had somehow embedded itself in her hair and skin, then just decided to change forms and jump in as a wolf, splashing around playfully with no intention of being proper and queenlike

Drake relaxed for a few more moments before he stood and stripped down to his under garments and dove into the water.

She barked wildly as she ran through the shallow ends of the lake and splashed about. She glanced up when she saw movement and was glad that wolves couldn't visibly blush

Drake swam a nice distance from the shore line, floating on his back as he stared up at the baby blue sky contently.

She swam closer to him and started to splash around, getting water on him and barking

“Hey!” Drake chuckled and splashed her back.

She jumped around playfully, making a growling sound. She started to circle him and splashing when he got to close

He laughed again, spinning i a circle so he could track and splash her when he could

Seeing that he was playing the game, valtira walked in a tighter circle, encouraging him to try to get to her

He lunged at her playfully, deliberately missing my an inch.

She yelled and fell backwards into the lake. She stood and shook herself off while watching Drake, in case he thought to lunge again

He chuckled and leaned back in the water, a content sigh escaping his lips.

She smiled at him before walking off to the wooded area to find her clothes. Glancing around to make sure she hadn't been followed, she shifted back into her normal form and pulled in her clothes, Braiding her hair back. She walked to the clearing and watched Drake float around with a smile

Drake floated peacefully for a few moments before he flipped backwards and dove down to the bottom of the lake, a very long swim. But for what he wanted to do, he needed to be right at the bottom.

Valtira glanced nervously at the lake when she didn't see Drake come up after a bit "Drake…."

A second later, a bright blue light mixed with a bright white erupted from the bottom, a single pulse followed by another, then another in some pattern then resembled some old language.

Val stared in awe at the light and pulsing. It compelled her to go forward, give herself up to it and it's power

A moment later, Drake came up gasping for breath and swimming towards the shore line.
