Jamie stopped and pulled out her wand. She looked at Conner and raised her eyebrows, as if asking, May I?
Jamie stopped and pulled out her wand. She looked at Conner and raised her eyebrows, as if asking, May I?
He shrugged as if saying I don't care.
She grinned and faced the boys. "Excuse me, but I heard that you weren't very nice to my friend."
"Why does it concern you." The 'Leader' said.
"Because he's my friend," Jamie retorted, her grip tightening on her wand. "I suggest you apologize."
"I don't think I have to."
"I think you should. It's nice." She rehearsed the spell briefly in her mind.
"And if I don't?" he said smirking.
"Let's not have to get there."
"Why won't you answer me?"
Conner grabbed her sleeve as if to say,Just do it.
She shrugged. "I gave you a chance." Her wand came out and after a few choice words, the hex flew.
Conner watched as the hex was placed. "What did you do?"
"Bat-Bogey Hex," she whispered with a sly smirk.
"O-Oh." He laughed.
The boys began to scream and run down the hall, leaving a stream of bats in their wake. Jamie laughed. "Did you see– that was splendid!"
"Thanks."
Jamie put away her wand. "Anytime," she replied with a grin.
"Let's go!"
She pulled him off in the opposite direction of the boys.
He followed silently
"Almost… here!" she cried happily. It was a wall.
"God I hate going through walls."
"We're not going through it. Yet…" She grinned. "Where do you want to go?"
"I don't know."
"Like, a warm room with a fire?" she asked, her eyes sparkling.
"Sure."
Jamie paced through the hallway, murmuring under her breath and her eyes shut.
"J-Jamie?" He stared at her.
"Ssh! Hold on!" she replied. She'd paced three times, then suddenly a door appeared out of the wall. She beamed and grabbed his hand. "C'mon!"
"O-Ok…"
