He laughed gently "alright, fine maybe not the best thing to say in the heat of the moment, but it got her outta there, right?" He opened the hospital door for her

"Other things could've been said," Marina pointed out, stepping inside.
"like what, hey I'm a random dude and have fore controlling capabilities, don't worry I won't hurt you?" He whispered "yes somehow I'd mess that up." He went up to the lady behind the desk "hi, were looking for one of the building collapse victems, we're friends of hers"
Marina pressed her lips together to not laugh and looked at her feet.
" Room 234" she said simply. Cas went back over to Marina and smiled "you're smiling," he said with a smile of his own. He laced his hand with hers and pulled her towards the hallway the lady instructed them do go down
She bit her lip and walked with him.
Cas peeked in the door when they got there "hello, anyone alive?"
"Who are you?" a hoarse voice called back.
"A friend of a friend." He walked inside, pulling Marina with him "just checking in"
Marina stumbled in, not expecting Cas to pull her.
The girl coughed and gave both of them a weary look. "Do I know you?"
He leaned against the wall "not necessarily, let's just say we have a mutual friend and he asked me to check up on you."
"And who would that be?" she asked.
Marina didn't recognize the girl yet.
He rolled his eyes " as I said before, a friend. you don't trust easily do you?" he chuckled
She narrowed her eyes at him. "You look familiar…"
Marina quickly intervened, having recognized the girl. "We're sorry about scaring you, Gina," she said, coming closer to the Gina's beside. "We were just worried about your singing voice – you'll still be able to do choir after this, right? It would be a shame if you can't, you're the heart and soul of the choir."
Gina's features brightened. "Marina? Oh, God, I didn't recognize you for a second!"
Marina sighed with relief.
Cas smiled from his spot on the wall "you two know each other?"
Marina looked back at him. "Yes." She mouthed, "Lucky for you."
He put his hands up in innocence and chuckled "how are you feeling…Gina was it?"
Gina cleared her throat. "I'm feeling fine, thank you," she said, her tone much warmer now.
"good to hear. I'll give you two some time alone" he nodded politly before exiting the room and sitting in the waiting area
After a couple more minutes, Marina came back into the waiting room and looked around for Cas.
Cas was sitting in the corner, reading a science magazine
She walked over to him and tapped the page. "Interesting?"
He jumped slightly and smiled up at her "actually, yeah." He set the magazine aside and pulled her into his lap "how is she so far? Does she know who we are?"
"Me, yes. You, I don't know. She wasn't able to recognize you before I recognized her, so that's good. And she's doing fine," she answered, wrapping her arms around his neck.
He nodded in acknowledgment "That's good, just for fun, am I allowed to go in there as Fuego and scare the crap outta her?" he smiled up at her
"No," she answered firmly.
"Why not? It would be hilarious, for me at least." he said, continuing to smile
"No. You are not doing that."
"Give me one good reason why not,"he said challengingly
"Because we're in a public place!" she hissed.
