He got up and hugged her tightly. Not letting go of her hand.

Eden sank into the hug. She’d been wanting someone to tell for so long, and now that she had—and they didn’t lash out for it—she felt so safe. She felt like this was the beginning of a relationship where someone would listen. She thought that things like this is why the universe paired them together.

He was breathing softly. He was clearly happy with his parring.

“Thank you.” Eden whispered.

He looked at her a smile on his face. 'Of course.'

“People usually get mad at me, or ignore me, when I try to open up. You didn’t. People don’t do that to me,” she told him, softly. She pulled him a little closer. “Thank you,” she repeated.

He lifted her chin up and smiled brighter.

She smiled back at him. It was a closed-mouth smile, but a smile nonetheless. “You’re good to me.”

He spoke. "A-And…Y-Your good to m-me…"

“Good. I really wanted to be.” She planted a kiss on his cheek. “You smell nice, too.”

He blushes darkly

Eden giggled. “You’re too cute.”

He shook his head.

Eden nodded. “Mhmm.” She grinned.

He lifted his phone up. 'No I'm not…'

“Lies. Straight up lies.” Eden shook her head.

He looked away trying to hide his face.

Eden turned his face back toward hers, “I’m not gonna lie to you.” She said with completely seriousness.

He nods slightly.

She rubbed her finger over his cheek. “Honesty. Honesty and communication are very important to me. I will be honest with you. And I will listen to you, and talk to you.”

he nods. "Thanks…" he coughed a little from speaking.

She nodded as she turned away to grab her drink and take a sip. She got way to enthusiastic with it a swallowed it too fast. She choked a little, coughing. She laughed through her coughing. Looking at Jack as she wiped her mouth.

He laughed. 'You ok?'

She nodded, still laughing. “Yeah.”

He smiles lightly.

She layed her head on his shoulder.

He blushed a little.

She had let go of his hand at some point earlier, so she took it back. Absentmindedly, she rubbed his hand with her thumb. She’d been doing it a lot. She like to fidget, and she her mom used to rub her hand like that. She always associated it with affection and tranquility.

He smiled taking a drink of his latte.
