Name: Francina "Frankie" Sorprano-Castiglione
Age: 25
Gender: Female
Pronouns: She/Her
Sexuality/Romantic Attraction: The Most Shark Bisexual That Ever Walked The Earth™
Role: Counselor
Personality: Frankie is your average Martini Aunt™. She's wild and the life of the party, but always ready to slice a bitch for her babies (the campers). She's also a great listener and gives great advice for any situation. Everyone views her as the big sister they always wished they had. She's super laid back and friendly. Flirty in the extreme and very openly promiscuous. She does have a fiery Italian temper and has a bit of a sadistic side when he gets angry (blame her rather…interesting borderline mobish…family life.)
Appearance: Tall and thin in the extreme, Frankie looks like she belongs on a runway more than a camp. Long naturally caramel colored hair, but she dyes it all the time (currently it's fire truck red), big laughing blue eyes, full lips that are always smiling. https://i.pinimg.com/564x/de/36/14/de3614271f0c5b1d10af6d3d068c59e4.jpg
Clothing/General Style: Frankie keeps it real with homemade punk/band shirts and ripped skinny jeans, barely ever wears shoes.
Backstory: Frankie was left at the hospital as a baby and was placed into the system. She was sent house to house because of her more wild ways until she was about 10 when she was officially adopted by a rather suspiciously wealthy Italian family from New York. They were accepting of who she was and she volunteered with her family at shelters for women and children. Seeing the injustice many people like her experienced everyday she was determined to do something about it and share the love she had received from her family. She went to college and worked at a social worker for a few years before growing tired of the system. He found out about the camp and immediately packed up to check it out. She was hired on the spot and hasn't left to this day.
Where they're from: New York
Other: Has an unholy love for Chipotle.
Name: Lee Hae-Jin
Age: 23
Gender: Nonbinary-Masc
Pronouns: They/them, he/him
Sexuality/Romantic Attraction: Gay?
Role: Counselor
Personality: Smooth, laid-back, flirty, somewhat confident, considerate, sarcastic, apathetic, depressed, anxiety-ridden but tries to hide it with coping mechanisms, empathetic, humorous, easily filled with rage or happiness, rather gentle with others unless told otherwise, introvert but doesn't mind socialization (has a time limit), relaxed, patient.
Appearance: Fluffy, short and styled dark-brown hair that swishes to the left with blonde highlights and waves. Tanned and toned skin with an angular-but-soft facial structure. Narrow-ish and slightly-curvy body type with a sturdy frame and build. Soft brown eyes with a purple ring around the outside. Medium-short at 5'6" and average weight at 153 lbs but fluctuates depending on whether or not he's been working out. One ear piercing in each ear. One singular tongue piercing. A tattoo of an assortment of flowers across his shoulders and his back.
Clothing/General Style: Dark-grey hoodie, rather tight jeans but can still move quite easily. Usually wears black converse and graphic t-shirts. Always wears a belt.
Backstory: He was just a young child of 12 when his parents shipped him off to relatives outside the country, fearful for him when he came out to them. His relatives were… less than kind to him when he told them the same that he had told his parents. They still helped to register him as a citizen, but he was also physically beaten, abused, manipulated, forced into a shell of a human until he was able to leave at the ripe old age of 18. The day of his birthday, he already had his things packed and ready to leave, never wanting to see or speak of his relatives again. He has been writing letters constantly to his parents, who still live in North Korea. He hasn't told them about the abuse, he didn't want to sound ungrateful or make them regret their decision, so instead, he stayed quiet. Now, he sought out help from the psychological damage he had endured, and had been diagnosed with severe GAD and mild depression.
Where they're from: North Korea
Other: Likes animals, mainly cats. Can speak Korean and English rather fluently (even if it's with an accent), but slips up into full Korean when really super flustered. Has been inspired to look into a career path towards becoming a psychiatrist/therapist, but for now, he is working odd and dirty jobs to pay rent.
(I hope he's okay? I had to change his backstory around a bit, so sorry for the choppiness…)
May I join?
(Yes you can!
And yeah, dw about it, he’s great!)
Thank you! I should have my form up later tonight!
(Awesome thanks!)
Yup! I want to get back into rping!
I’ll have mine up tonight!
No worries, take your time. Are you okay?
Nope, not really. I don’t really want to talk about it though, all I’ll say is I’m having family issues.
And, could I just be a camper? Or whatever, it doesn’t matter really.
May I?
And, could I just be a camper? Or whatever, it doesn’t matter really.
Yup, a camper would be great!
May I?
Hi! I don’t think I’ve seen you around! Would you mind providing a sample of your writing?
(I have a question. Can we make both a counselor and a teen? I don't think I'll be able to pull it off myself but just asking in case others were wondering the same.)
(Yeah that’s totally fine)
May I do this?
Yup!
Also I think I’m gonna close this, I’m pretty sure we have enough people
alright!
Tap, tap, tap. What was that? A tapping noise, coming from somewhere outside the tube. Sandra lifted up her head. The metal was still opaque. She looked around.
Tap, tap, tap. Who was making the sound? And, more importantly, why?
Tap, tap, tap. With the last tap, the glass turned clear. There were people outside, in the back of the tube. No, not people. Children. No, not children. Teenagers, around her age. There were only four of them, two boys and two girls, all with a blood red stripe across their face, starting from their left ear to their right cheek. The tapper was a girl, not much older than Sandra, but undoubtedly older mentally. She had pale blue hair, buzzed on the right half of her hair, but long and flowing on the left half, with electric blue streaks. She was wearing something similar to what Sandra was wearing. Sandra sat up, and kneeled next to the tube.
"Sandra Wilkins." The girl whispered. Sandra nodded.
"We'll get you out of there." The girl reached over and pulled a leather glove onto her left hand. And that was when Sandra saw it. A tattoo on this strange girl, nearly identical to Sandra's, but reading 023. This girl, she had been here. She had been trapped in one of these tubes, and she had gotten out. And now, this girl was helping Sandra get out.
(Yeah, I think it's kind of bad personally. If you don't like it, that's fine. My feeling won't be hurt.)
(Nope, thats actually good and you have a good writing style. You’re in!)
(Sooooo I’m on my phone rn so I can’t change the title but for anyone else wanting to join IM SORRY THIS IS CLOSED)
(Yay! Thank you!)
Name: Joanne Catherine Alanis
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Pronouns: she/her
Sexuality/Romantic Attraction: bi/pan with a preference for girls
Role: Camper
Personality: (INFP, though she's more ambiverted) Very thoughtful, a much darker mind than most think. Daydreams most of the time, needs stimulation for her huge imagination. Can get very anxious in social situations, laughs when she shouldn't, a grade A liar. A realist on most days, more pessimistic when it comes to herself, and optimistic when it comes to others, feels the need to constantly apologize. The definition of 'organized chaos'.
Appearance: Dark and thick brown hair that's straight close to her scalp but begins to form loose curls closer to the bottom, cut an inch or two below her shoulders, in a middle part with a widow's peak. Deep brown irises that blend with her pupil, lined with long, dark lashes, very expressive eyes usually underlined by dark circles or bags from her many sleepless nights. Medium-light, tan skin that's regrettably oily, acne scars along her lower cheeks and near-ish to the sides of her face, small blackheads dotting her nose, which is larger than she'd like. Dark eyebrows which aren't actually that large or bushy, but she'd extremely insecure about. Average height, somewhat pear-shaped figure, a more flat chest than typical for her age, fairly average body proportions besides chubby thighs that come with cellulite to support her wider hips, which she's also insecure about. She grew up with a mother that wouldn't allow her to shave her legs, adding another item to the list of physical features she's ashamed of.
Clothing/General Style: During the winter, she'll be wearing black leggings and a hoodie with a nice shirt beneath that she's too self-conscious to uncover 90% of the time. Loves any variation of blue, specifically the medium and lighter hues. Loves her periwinkle Vans. During the summer, 95% of her shorts are jean shorts and most of her t-shirts are floral. Randomly transitions from loving to wear pretty stuff, to hating the way she looks in it. Wears a slim silver cross on a filigree chain beneath her shirt.
Backstory: Was born in Greece and moved to North America when she was four, grew up as a member of the Greek-Orthodox church with two parents who loved her and a sister four years younger than her. Said sister was supposed to be a twin, but her sibling died early in their mother's womb. Around 7th grade, self-doubt and hate began to set in because of behind-her-back bullying, and by the middle of grade 8, she absolutely hated herself because of that, and the fact that she'd had feelings for a few girls (and boys), and she had been raised to think that such feelings were a sin. Slowly, she came to the realization that it was her family that was wrong, not her, and began to out herself to some friends in high school. By tenth grade, she was out to a lot of people, but her mental health had deteriorated to the point where she craved death with every step she took (due to various factors). She was asked out by a girl, and she accepted. They broke up after two months, and she finally came out to her parents, who as a result, sent her to the camp.
Where they're from: England and Greece
Other: Right-handed, a nail-biter. Plays the viola, is learning to play the guitar and cello, used to play piano, loves to sing, draw, write fiction, and write poetry, not to mention reading. Is in like twenty fandoms.
(here she is! anything I need to change?)
Name: Valeria Edison
Age: 14
Gender: Female
Pronouns: she/ her
Sexuality/Romantic Attraction: Gay as heckin' heck
Role: camper
Personality: She is the prankster. She laughs a lot, is incredibly extroverted, and makes friends easily. She also pranks her friends with hilarious, but sometimes cruel pranks. Valeria is the girl that is nice, funny, and kind. This is all just a cover for who she really is, though. She hates summer camps, but is currently trying to pretend she loves it, to make her family mad.
Appearance: She has pastel pink hair that darker on the top of her head. She has grey-blue eyes with long lashes, and has full lips and a big bright smile she is almost always wearing. https://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=https%3A%2F%2Fnaibuzz.com%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2016%2F09%2FLdshadowlady-Copy.jpg&imgrefurl=https%3A%2F%2Fnaibuzz.com%2Fmuch-money-ldshadowlady-makes-youtube%2F&docid=1quco3hV8d7CgM&tbnid=F25Aln9QKvUDXM%3A&vet=10ahUKEwjztLDpyJTgAhVbHjQIHa6ZBD8QMwhzKAkwCQ..i&w=1080&h=729&safe=active&bih=657&biw=1366&q=ldshadowlady&ved=0ahUKEwjztLDpyJTgAhVbHjQIHa6ZBD8QMwhzKAkwCQ&iact=mrc&uact=8 (that's a long link. And yes, I do know who that is.)
Clothing/General Style: She loves anything Star Wars related. And as so, she is often seen wearing Star Wars shirts. Her ideal outfit is a black t-shirt with a poster for The Empire Strikes Back (her favorite movie), a jean jacket, denim capris, and read and white flip-flops
Backstory: She has one older sister, named Elsie, who was a total wash-out. Elsie did drugs, smoked, drank under-age, had bad grades, and yet still was the favorite child. Valeria, however, was the perfect daughter, smart, funny, kind, and was hated by her family for it. When she came out as gay, her family jumped at the opportunity to ruin her life. She goes to a very anti-gay school, and when everyone found out, she lost all her friends. She just kept smiling, kept laughing through the pain. Her family thought the camp sounded like hell, so they decided to make Valeria go there. Thinking that she would beg not to go, and cry, her parents were unpleasantly suprised when Valeria was indifferent to going there. Now, Valeria wants to see if she could make some true friends, who won't desert her because of her sexuality.
Where they're from: New York
Other: She loves the band Queen, and will listen to her music non-stop. She is a Cancer. I suck at making characters
(No you’re not, Valeria is great, hush)
Both your characters are awesome!
Great, thanks!
How are the cabins organized, other than by preferred pronouns?
