Sterling’s POV:

“Yes, the one with Emma Watson,” I murmured, nuzzling the side of her neck. Maybe I should back away a little before thing got too heated, but I was rather enjoying her reactions… “At least let me help you with the dishes, then.”

Eden's POV:

"I think I've watched it before," I answered with a hitch in my voice, his nose and breath tickling my neck. I leaned back against him, trying to calm myself down but failing miserably. "It's just a few plates, Sterling. It's okay…"

Deleted user

(Neck of her neck? :o)

Eden's POV:

I nodded mutely, gripping the plates tightly in my hands. I knew he was doing this on purpose, but I couldn't help the reactions. I didn't think I would ever get used to it.

When I realized he had asked me a question, I blushed.
"How To Train Your Dragon…" I answered with a slight tremor. "I adore that movie…"

(Ugh… Back of her neck…)

Sterling’s POV:

I smirked at her late response and kissed her again, more towards the side of her neck this time.

“Sounds good,” I murmured against her. “Now, finish up so we can go…”

Eden’s POV:

I clenched my teeth and sucked in a breath, dipping my head down.

“R—right,” I stammered, moving away from him so I could walk over to the sink. I absently washed the dishes, the feeling of his kisses still lingering on my skin.

Damn it, Sterling…

Once I was done, I dried my hands and slowly walked towards Sterling.

Sterling’s POV:

As she washed the dishes, I leaned against the counter and let my gaze follow after her. I was so glad she was home… And it honestly felt like she’d never left. Except for the fact that she was more ready for things than before, which I was perfectly okay with.

She came back over to me, and I smiled. Wrapping my arms around her again, I bent down to kiss her softly. “You ready?”

Eden’s POV:

I hummed in reply, pressing my lips tighter against his. I decided I wanted to tease him, too, so I broke off our kiss, pulled him down and pressed a soft kiss to his neck.

“Definitely,” I murmured, my lips barely grazing his neck.

Sterling’s POV:

I hummed at the feeling of her lips on my neck. Maybe I shouldn’t have teased her so much, but… I was enjoying this…

“Babe… You and I both know you’re not ready to go again…” I murmured, still feeling her lips against my skin as I spoke. “So it might be best for both of us if you step back…”

Eden's POV:

I raised my arms above me and stretched, sighing once I was done.

"Watching a movie sounds good," she mused. "Or maybe we could go to an animal shelter today?"

Gray's POV:

I immediately regretted what I said when she flinched away. C'mon, Gray, what's the matter with you?

Sighing, I called over the waitress.

"Two slices of red velvet cake, please," I said to her politely. "Small."

I forced myself to loosen up, to relax.
“I can pay:”

Eden’s POV:

I reluctantly pulled away, rubbing my neck, flustered. He was right. I couldn’t go for another round this quickly. At least, not yet.

“You shouldn’t tease me too much, then,” I muttered in reply, clearing my throat. “Um, you go play the movie? I’ll fix us some popcorn.”

In truth, I wanted to clear my head. Try to get his intoxicating scent out of my mind.

Eden's POV:

I smiled at him.

"Before you go…" I started slowly. "Please get me a pack of popcorn from the top shelf?"

I pointed to the shelf above the microwave, too high for me to each.

Gray's POV:

I shook my head.

"It's fine," I said, smiling at her cheerfully. "Don't worry about it."

Hesitating, I shifted in my seat. Strangely, his smile brought an odd stirring sensation to my chest.
“Split the bill?”

Gray’s POV:

I chuckled, shaking my head.

“Violeta,” her name rolled off of my tongue smoothly. I liked the sound of it. “It’s fine. It’s not much. You can make it up to me later on, but I invited you so I’m going to pay.”

@blue_topaz

Violeta. My name flowed smoothly from his mouth, so easily said. Why did it feel so strange for me to say his?
“You’re— you’re sure? How would I make it up to you?”

Deleted user

Gray's POV:

I shrugged, smiling coyly at her.

"Take me out on a date, maybe?" I teased, not exactly serious. When I caught the look on her face, I laughed. "I'm kidding. You can make it up however you want."

@blue_topaz

(Not ‘exactly’ serious)

Heat and colour rushed to my face almost immediately as the familiar nausea returned. He’s joking, I told myself, You’re fine.

Turning my head away to show him that I didn’t like the teasing, I tried to come up with some sort of reply. “I’ll figure something out.”

Deleted user

Gray's POV:

She turned her head away. Ah, she didn't like it. I shouldn't tease her anymore. Maybe it's too much…

"I'm not being serious, Violeta," I told her softly. "You don't have to make up anything. I brought you here because I wanted to. And I'm not going to try anything on you, I promise. You don't have to take me seriously."

Gray's POV:

When the waiter came back with our dessert, I focused on it rather than the girl in front of me. I tried not to stare because it would make her feel uncomfortable.

"How is it?" I asked, breaking the silence that came over us.

Gray's POV:

"Isn't it?" I grinned. "Crocodile's Cave might have a weird name, but its food blows your mind away."

Deleted user

Gray's POV:

I didn't know how to answer that. I fell silent before shrugging.

"I work here," I answered her before quickly changing the subject. "What about you? Do you work, or no?"

@blue_topaz

I gave him a perplexed look, baffled by his unconvincing answer. “Not currently, I decided to take the first two months or so of college away from work to adjust, since I made a good amount of money in high school.”

Gray's POV:

My mouth formed a small 'o' as I nodded.

"What job did you take?" I questioned, taking another forkful of my cake.

@blue_topaz

“Taught kids art once a week, plus being a barista, plus babysitting whenever I could squeeze it in,” I answered, accidentally leaving a trail of crumbs at the corner of my lips.
