Azura resisted the urge to run over to the bed and bury her face in his neck; she walked over calmly and squeezed his hand.
"How are you feeling?" she asked him, and smiled a tiny bit. It was hard to stay angry when she looked at him.

Farron smiled back, also retuning the hand squeeze, “Sore, but better then I was, thank you. Are you okay?”

“Yeah, I’m fine, I was just worried.” She glanced over at Andra, who was looking out the door.

Farron didn’t look over at his mother, instead, used his thumb and pointer finger to make Azura look at him. Gently, he pulled her down and kissed her, softly and lovingly.

She didn't pull herself away; she let herself be completely in the moment. When they pulled back, she smiled a sort of somber smile. Then she sat on the side of the bed and held on to Farron's hand.

Farron gave her hand a small squeeze, tilting his head to the side at her look but he didn’t question it. His mother still stood by the door, glaring at Azura but Farron didn’t notice.

The doctor returned to the room.
“It seems like Farron will be ok after a while, he just needs to rest,” he said. “Actually, he can go right now.”
“That’s great news!” Azura replied.

Farron grinned, “That’s wonderful! Thank you so much for everything Doc.”

After a few minutes, they were out of the office again. They were standing outside the building, trying to decide their next move.

"I think we should go back to Rosguard," Andra said, "You've been away for a long time, both of you, people are probably worried."

“Oh, now you’re concerned,” Azura said in a relatively low voice. Her eyes widened just a tiny bit when she realized she had said that out loud.

Andra furrowed her brows, "I have always been concerned, dear. I just want what's best for my son and for you."

Azura had to resist the urge to tell that woman what she was really thinking, and after a bit of a struggle, she succeeded. Actually, you wouldn't be able to tell she was angry unless you looked at the tips of her ears, which were burning red. She didn't reply to Andra's statement. But one thing was clear; Andra wanted to trick Farron into thinking that everything was okay.

Farron, oblivious to Andra's rage and his mothers act, nodded in agreement, "I agree with mother, we should go back to Rosguard, it might be safer for all of us there and I don't want you getting hurt, Az."

"Alright, if that's what you think is best," she smiled up at Farron. Once they got to Rosgard, what would Andra be planning? Azura made it her goal to figure out Farron's mother before they arrived to Rosgard. Maybe Andra wanted to see her husband? Or she was planning something dangerous?

Farron placed a kiss to her forehead before moving to pull his shirt over his head. It took longer then usual, obviously because of the injury.

"I'll walk behind the two of you," she said as they headed towards the town exit. They still had to look out for Sarge's men, so they went through a different exit than the one they had previously used. Azura listened to Farron's conversation with his mother, furious about how quickly that woman could flip a switch.

The conversation between mother and son was less then interesting, Farron not even having an interest in it completely. Azura’s slightly odd behaviour bothered him but more so was his mothers yet he pushed it aside, knowing he was probably over reacting.

She was deep in thought when her eyes were drawn to a bush about a hundred feet away. It shifted a bit, and something peeked up out of the top.
"Farron," Az said in a low voice. She drew her bow and let it rest in her hands. "Look."

Farron’s head shot to the bush, hand on his sword ready to attack.

Azura turned her gaze towards Andra, to see what she would do. She seemed unfazed by the soldiers.
“Well, they’ve seen us, so we can’t run,” Azura said. “Andra, what do you think we should do?”

Andra flicked her gaze from Azura to the bushes to Farron then back to Azura, "We'll have to fight, there's no other way."

“Alright,” Azura replied. The men were headed towards them now, running. Az could see that there were about 6 of them. She ran to meet them, digging small trenches with her feet in the mud.

Andra and Farron followed, both drawing weapons, "Az, you take the two on the left, mother, the middle two and I'll take the two on the right." Farron said before swinging to block an attack.

Two of the men came in Azura's direction, both much larger than her. She twisted her torso and blocked one of the swings, then ducked behind the other, who clumsily bumped himself into his contemporary. She sliced her sword across his back, then his front, and he went down.

Farron took down his two men easily, both being smaller and not as strong as he was. The first went down to a slice across the neck, the other dodging the first of Farrons attacks only to leave his left side exposed for a moment and earnt him a sword in the side.

Azura defeated the next man that was attacking her just as easily. They had brute strength, but absolutely no coordination. Whoever sent them must have been desperate. Soon all six of the men were strewn across the ground, and Azura, Farron, and Andra moved on. They decided to move faster, just in case more men came after them.

Luckily for them, no more men found them. Whether it was because they had stopped looking for they were just terrible at tracking, they were soon lost in the woods, shielded by the trees that blocked out most of the sun.

Then they begun to slow down again, and they felt much more at ease.
“If I may ask,” Azura began when they were deep in the woods, “how exactly did you get kidnapped?”
