(Oh I remember what it was. I was just going to assume that they were both talking about the same theater and whatever bc it wasn’t really important.)
Some time later, Eden arrived at the theater. She hoped she was at the right one. She always thought she was at the wrong place, or had the wrong day or the wrong time or something. She also hated being late. She sent Jack a text hoping and begging that she had the right place.
i’m here
Eden thought that was an ominous way to say that, and was a little hesitant to do so, yet she obliged and turned around.
Jack was smiling like a dork.
Eden’s grinned, so wide like her happiness couldn’t possibly be contained in a smile any more narrow. It had to spill out becuase there was just too much of it. “Mmm, you’re too cute!” She laughed. She didn’t know exactly why she was so excited to see him, what with knowing him for a day, but she couldn’t deny that it was amazing.
He typed. 'Sorry that text was weird.'
She laughed, “No, no. I mean, a little, but it’s fine.” Her hand grazed his, almost like it had a mind of it’s own, like it wanted to hold his even though the thought hadn’t actually crossed her mind yet.
He holds her hand. He sighs. "Y-You…L-Look cute…"
Eden blushed, interlocking her fingers between his. “Thanks,” she breathed, her face so, so warm. She knew her cheeks must be so red. She felt like a school-age child. She couldn’t fight back her smile, or the warmth in her face.
He nods happily. he felt like a 13-year-old boy who had a crush on a random girl.
(It’s too cute oh my god)
“We should probably get tickets.” Eden said, even though she just wanted to hold onto Jack forever.
He held them up stating he got them.
“Ah. And they say chivalry is dead.” She stated softly.
She smiles. “Do you want snacks?” She asked, opening her bag up to reveal the copious amounts of candy she had stashed in there.
he typed with one hand. 'During the movie.'
“Yeah. I’ll buy popcorn. Do you like popcorn? And soda if you want.” She offered.
He typed. 'i can get it.'
“No. I insist. You bought tickets. I’ll get it.”
“Let’s go get a good seat together.” She turned to start walking toward the concessions.
“Do you want a drink?” She asked as she walked, turning to look at him.
He typed so he didn't have to keep speaking. 'Root beer.'
She nodded after reading his response, “Okay. Small, Medium, or Large?”
'idc really.' he said smiling.
Eden giggled, “okay, I’ll get a medium for you. And for me, I guess. Why don’t you go give them tickets and then come meet me in line when you’e done?” She suggested.
He nods and goes to give them the tickets. He seemed excited. Almost like a little kis.
Eden left his side to get in the line for the popcorn and drinks. They didn’t bother to check her bag, which was incrediblely lucky considering that there was no way to hide all the candy. One medium root beer, one medium Sprite, one medium popcorn. And they’ll ask ‘will that be all’ and I’ll say ‘yes’. Easy peasey, yeah? She took out a twenty, hoping that it would be enough. She was too nervous to try to count up the total, but by a very basic, rushed math, she figured it wouldn’t be that much.
