(We're working on it! Patience…)
Devon had moved back to her place on the cough and pulled her knees up to her chest, wrapping her arms around them. "It's pretty chilly," she agreed.
(XD)
"I can get us a blanket?" Sebastian's breath caught a little on the word 'us', heavily implying that they would be sharing as a way to subtly ask Devon before he retrieved the blanket.

(;^;)
Devon looked over at him and blushed, chewing on her lip. She glanced away for a moment before turning back to him and nodding.
"Yeah… A blanket would be nice," she agreed quietly.
A triumphant grin found its way onto Sebastian's face. With a flustered nod, he left the room to fetch the blanket and a few pillows, returning with his arms laden.
Devon chuckled at the amount of things Sebastian was carrying. “Do you think you have enough?” she asked jokingly.
Sebastian made a sarcastic reply which was muffled by the blanket in front of his face. He dumped the whole mess unceremoniously on the couch and plopped down next to Devon, keeping half a foot of distance between them. “Is this a good distance?” he asked, “Or am I too close?”
Devon laughed as he dumped the blankets on the couch, then blushed as he sat down next to her.
“No, it’s fine. It’s not too close,” she assured him, rubbing at her pink cheeks.
Sebastian smiled, relieved, and pulled a blanket over them both. “Tell me if I get too close for comfort, okay?”
“Of course,” Devon said softly, nodding a bit. She curled her legs up on the other side of her, getting comfortable under the blanket.
Sebastian grabbed hold of the remote control to start the movie and burrowed beneath the warm blanket, letting out a contented sigh.
About halfway through the movie, Devon felt her eyelids growing heavy. She wouldn’t give in, though. She would fight against the sleep that wanted to overtake her exhausted body.
Sebastian had somehow found himself with his arm resting on the top part of the couch backing, as if he had it around Devon, except they weren't actually touching. He glanced over at her, smiling softly. "You good?"
Devon smiled back and nodded. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just a little tired. Don't worry about it, though."
"If you say so.." Sebastian murmured, giving a small nod. "Just so you know—if you're tired, you're more than welcome to lean your head against my shoulder. But only if you want to."
"Oh… All right, thanks," Devon said softly, nodding again. She blinked a few times, wiping the fog from her eyes before she refocused on the movie.
Sebastian followed her example and dragged his gaze back to the TV screen, tugging the blanket farther up his body.
"Anytime."
A few minutes later, Devon had succumbed to sleep, resting her head on Sebastian's shoulder. She looked peaceful with her face and body relaxed more than she would being awake.
Sebastian had carefully put his arm around her, shifting positions to make himself as comfortable as possible while his heart hammered away in his chest. She looked so…. serene, undisturbed.. it was a refreshing sight, though he tried not to look very often, afraid of violating some sort of unspoken code.
Devon whimpered a bit in her sleep, curling her legs up closer to herself. She twitched before falling still again, peace flooding her once more.
A frown disrupting the peaceful expression that had been resting on his face, Sebastian turned and looked her over with worried eyes. What…..?
Memories faded in and out of her sleep, some good, some not. The one that had disrupted her sleep was one that was from a few years ago, when she had been walking through the alley…
He was sure to keep an eye on her as she slept, but there didn't seem to be any more disruptions…. Yet.
Devon suddenly shot up with a gasp, exclaiming, “No!” She shook a little as she rubbed at her face, groaning softly.
You’re okay… You’re okay… You’re okay…
"Devon??" Sebastian sat bolt upright, worried eyes searching her face for any telltale signs to point him in the direction of what had happened.
“I’m fine… I’m fine,” Devon whispered, hugging her legs closer to her chest and burying her face in her knees.
“No, you’re not.” Sebastian wanted to do nothing but hug Devon to his chest, but he knew that he might cause more harm in the process. “Breathe… Focus on my voice. Just breathe deeply, try to calm down.”
Devon nodded slowly, taking his advice and letting her breathing deepen and slow down. She focused as much of her attention on his words as she could, everything else being on breathing and trying to ignore the memories flashing through her mind. She trembled slightly as she took another deep breath.
“What happened?” he asked gently, trying to catch her eye.
