(awwwww)
His pitch black eyes looked back at Granbo. "Are you sure we have to do this?"
"What are Robin and I supposed to do?" Zoe piped up.
"Trust me, you don't want to do this."
Lenny turned to Zoey and Robin, and coughed. "Yeah you don't wanna, but we all need to go."
Robin nodded and drank the potion quickly, tensing up as he waited for the uncomfortable transformation. It happened, and he stood before them in the form of a slimy looking fox kit.
Levi felt like throwing up. "This is disgusting." His voice came out a little more high pitched and raspy.
"I agree, but it's necessary I think." Robin examined his slimy paws. "What animal would you say I am?"
"A…." Levi tilted his head. "Fox? I think?"
"Hmm, interesting… do you think the potion chooses an animal at random? Or one that 'represents' us?"
Zoey took the potion, tuning into a wolf cub.
Levi groaned. "God, I hope this doesn't represent us. I don't want my spirit animal to be a bunny."
Robin laughed quietly, his normal laugh being contorted into a sinister, bubbly sounding snicker.
"If it is, they got my spirit animal pretty much spot on." Zoey wheezed. "This is disgusting though."
"Maybe my spirit animal is a deer." Lenny said with a shrug. "But now we can go undercover. Gosh, speaking feels weird in this body."
"I wouldn't think I'm a fox… too… I dunno, energetic." Robin wanted to try and shake out his fur like he'd seen dogs do, but decided against it. The feeling really was disgusting.
"Granbo, what do we do now?" Lenny asked. Granbo waved his hands over the map, and then over Lenny's eyes, causing her to blink.
"Since animals don't have hands," he began. "When you wish for the map to appear it will fill your vision. Now you need to find the crystal of light." he said. Then, he pulled Zoey aside. "Zoey, can I count on you to make sure that the dark creatures don't find out your imposters?"
Zoey nodded. "I won't let you down Granbo. I promise."
Grannbo smiled, and shoved them out of the cave.
"Well." Lenny rasped. "I guess we go after the Crystal now."
"I suppose so." Robin looked down at his slimy paws. "When does this wear off?"
"I think we have about two days." Lenny said. "Which might not be enough time, but we'll just have to see." Lenny then blinked and wished for the map, and it appeared in her vision. "Whoa this is cool!" She breathed. After a few seconds of looking at the map, she headed towards the big mountains. "It says we go this way." she told them as the map disappeared from her vision.
"Ugh, two days? Okay, whatever. Lead the way." Robin made to follow Lenny.
Two days……that's too long. Levi followed Lenny, struggling slightly as he tried to keep up with her. Stupid rabbit feet….I don't have enough energy to hop.
Lenny rolled her eyes. "This is a quest, guys. We can't just go, find the magical crystal, and leave. This thing is eons old, and I'm not even sure if it really exists. Its gonna take a while." she explained.
"True." Robin sighed. "Well, we better get moving then. Find the crystal thing."
Lenny nodded. "The map says its towards the mountains, which makes sense. Getting there should take at least three hours."
"Three hours? Can we stop for a snack?"
Lenny looked at Levi, puzzled. "Uh, I guess so. I don't know." she said, then continued walking. He was worried about snacks?
"Good. I won't be able to fight anything with such a low energy level. I need food." Levi stated. Might not be able to eat with the image of a slimy gross rabbit in my head….
