Tyler kept his gaze on her as long as he could until one of the officers forced his head back around roughly. They shoved him into the car and drove away.
Noah slipped out the back door before they could stop him, guilt pricking in the back of his head. He drove away, knowing he would get the money from them, just maybe not use it on himself.
And so Morrigan watched her friend break again, the raw wounds of loss torn open and left to bleed. Macha tried to straighten and piece herself back together, told herself to grow the fuck in and piece herself back together, but all it took was one glance out the window and she was destroyed again.
Morrigan sat her down on the couch, wrapped her up in a warm blanket, and dialed Rafael.
(Would you mind playing Raf in the near future?)
(yeah I can cause tylers kind of not here.lol.)
(I can play him now, if thats what you meant)
(Oof
sobs
If you want to do a phone call rn, then sure)
(I can just play him from now on if thats okay unless you want to)
Why don’t we use him as a shared character for this rp, to be played by whoever doesn’t have a part to play?)
(yeah that sounds good)
Rafael picked up after a couple rings.
'Hey. Is everything okay?" He asked, frowning a little as he heard sirens in the distance.
(Alright!)
Macha’s muffled crying could be heard in the background. Morrigan shook her head, before remembering that Rafael couldn’t see her. “No——I know it’s almost three in the morning, but can you come to Macha’s?? It’s—shit. Please, for the love of god.” A hidden connotationcould be heard behind her words, she was terrified for her best friend.
"Oh shit. Yeah i'll be there in ten. What's wrong with Macha?" He paused. "Where's Tyler?" Rafael asked quietly, dreading her answer.
Morrigan didn’t answer for a long time. “Just get here as soon as you can,” she whispered, and hung up.
About ten minutes later, Rafael appeared at their door, not even knocking before walking in. He rushed over to Macha and sat down next to her, slipping his arm around her and looking up at Morrigan. "What happened? Where is he?"
Macha, who had finally managed to calm down and stop crying, broke down again as soon as Rafael's arm made contact with hers. Morrigan gripped her hand tightly, the whole story coming out in a rush.
"Oh…oh my god..Can we bail him out?" Rafael got up and got Macha some tissues and water. "I have some money saved in case of an emergency.."
"The fee is huge," Morrigan forced out, "As much as we'd all love to, there's no way we can afford it, not even pooling money. And I don't even know if they'd let us—as far as they know, he's a murderer."
"Let's talk about this later.." He said quietly, turning his attention to Macha. "How are you feeling? Is there anything we can do?"
Macha somehow managed to pull a mask over her broken expression and wipe the tears off her face. "You guys—You guys shouldn't have to—" She gestured vaguely to herself.
"Well we are. We love you and want to help as much as we can." Rafael said quietly, handing her the water.
"But I'm…….. I just need to learn not to be weak." She stood, setting the water down. "I'll be right back, I'm just going to the washroom."
She was gone before either of them could say anything about it.
"Does she have anything to hurt herself with?" Rafael looked up at Morrigan nervously.
Morrigan almost tripped over her own feet standing up. "The razors are in the bathroom.." she breathed, running to catch up with Macha.
"Shit.." Rafael mumbled, standing up and following close behind her, staying a little far away just in case she didn't want or need him.
But when Morrigan opened the bathroom door, Macha hadn't touched the razors, but was standing in front of the mirror and trying to wipe the broken expression off her face.
Morrigan sighed in relief, but leaned over to pluck the two razors out of the little mug by the sink. "Sorry, Mach. We'll be in the living room if you need comfort."
Rafael sat back down, slightly relieved. "Do you think she's going to want to stay here?" He asked, looking around the kitchen, taking anything sharp and putting it some place she couldn't find.
Morrigan helped him, though her hands trembled when handling the objects that could so easily be run over her skin. "I don't know… but either way, I'll stay with her. And I'm going to kill that guy, Noah, or whatever his name was."
"He might be long gone by now. If he does come, call me before you kill him." Rafael told her.
"Will do," she muttered, shutting a drawer with force.
"At least she can still see him sometimes.." He added quietly, walking back over to the living room.
