Sterling was sitting on the couch as he worked on his studying. Eden was in the bathroom, doing who knows what. When Sterling’s phone rang, he glanced down at it and raised his eyebrows at the name.

“Hey, Lucas. What’s up?” he answered.

When I came out of the bathroom, Sterling was sitting on the couch. From what I could see from his back to me, he was staring at his phone.

"Hi, there," I said, placing my hands on his shoulders. "What are you doing?"

I frowned slightly at what Lucas had just told me. Eden had lied to me?

“Hi, there. What are you doing?” came my sweet girlfriend’s voice as she set her hands on my shoulders.

Blinking a couple of times, I shook my head and lifted my hands to hers and held onto them. “Babe… Did he ever do anything to you? And, please… Tell me the truth…” I pleaded softly.

Eden’s POV:

I immediately froze, his question ringing loudly in my ears.

What?

Why was he asking me this again? What made him go back to his topic.

“What… are you talking about?” I asked, my voice cracking slightly. No. he couldn’t know about it. Please don’t let him know.

Sterling’s POV:

I sighed and released her hands, rubbing at my forehead. “Babe… Will you come sit by me? Please? I think we need to talk about something.”

Eden's POV:

I chewed on my lower lip, fear striking my heart. He knew. He knew. But how? Who told him? I willed myself not to crack and slowly moved over the couch, sitting down slowly, folding my hands into my lap.

Sterling’s POV:

I took a deep breath after Eden sat down. Taking her hand in mine, I lifted it to my lips and pressed a gentle kiss to the back.

“I just got a call from Lucas, and we talked for a little bit. I told him about what happened the other day. He explained to me that something happened between you and your ex, not knowing that you hadn’t told me… Babe… Eden, why didn’t you tell me this?” I asked softly, looking up into her beautiful eyes.
