"Hey," Morrigan echoed, coming to a stop a few feet away from him. "What do you want to watch?" A second smile ghosted over her lips, this one less hesitant than the first.
"Hey," Morrigan echoed, coming to a stop a few feet away from him. "What do you want to watch?" A second smile ghosted over her lips, this one less hesitant than the first.
Lucian’s smile was a lazy and relaxed one, and he sat up a little bit more. “Might as well watch something like a comedy, or something calm, at least,” he suggested, thinking she wouldn’t want to watch anything too intense.
"Sure, yeah." Morrigan came around the side of the couch and knelt beside a large box, "I've got some DVDs in here. Or we can just see what's on at this time. I don't have Netflix, sorry."
Lucian smiled at Morrigan as he watched her. “We can just pick out a DVD,” he told her. “And that’s alright. I don’t have Netflix either,” he admitted. He was always too busy working and going to class to stick with a show.
Morrigan beckoned to him, a curtain of hair falling in front of her bowed head as she rooted through the box. "Most of this stuff is old…. movies I used to watch with my sister. When–When my dad wasn't home."
Lucian got up and moved to crouch down next to her. He nodded his head as he listened to her speak. He picked up a disk that seemed interesting. “What about this?”
Morrigan peered over at the scratched DVD case. "Ferris Bueller's Day Off?" Her smile grew, just a bit. "You've never watched that?"
Lucian gave a nervous little chuckle. “No, I haven’t. I know, that’s terrible. I just never watch too many movies,” he admitted.
“It’s fine, I don’t either,” she hastened to assure him. “I grew up watching the same ‘80s films over and over again.”
Lucian nodded his head at that, smiling at Morrigan softly. “That’s okay. We can watch that movie,” he said before standing up.
“It’s funny.” Morrigan rose to her feet, gesturing to the couch. “Sit, grab a blanket. Let me just get the DVD player up and running.”
“Good,” Lucian commented. He nodded at Morrigan’s instructions, grabbing a soft feeling blanket and sitting on the couch before draping it over him partly.
Before long, Morrigan was curled up on the couch a few feet away from him. She ignored the conflicting temptations to shift closer and move away, instead wrapping a blanket around her shoulders like a cocoon.
Lucian decided he wouldn’t move closer to Morrigan. Not unless she seemed to want him to or told him to. He also kept his hands above the blanket, resting on his lap. See? I won’t try to touch you under the blanket or anything of those sorts.
The movie began to play, drawing quiet chuckles from Morrigan ever now and then. Of course, the seemingly nonchalant expression on her face was the equivalent of her rolling on the floor laughing…. By the middle of the movie, she was surprised to find herself a foot closer to Lucian.
(Have you watched Ferris Bueller?)
(Yeah, i have!)
Lucian would perk whenever he heard Morrigan’s little bits of laughter. They weren’t much, but they left him smiling. Like music to his ears. He didn’t think he’d heard her actually laugh before, when it wasn’t a forced sounding one. He was pleased that she seemed to be relaxing a little bit.
By the end of the movie, Morrigan found herself almost shoulder-to-shoulder with Lucian. Suppressing a smile, she leaned over to turn off the TV, and her knee brushed his.
Lucian had been surprised when Morrigan ended up so close to him, but he didn’t mind it at all. He glanced over at her, a content smile on his lips. He bit his tongue sharply, though, when her knee nudged against his. He thought he wanted to kiss her in that moment. To take it slow and gentle with her. But he couldn’t spontaneously do that. It would scare her.
Morrigan’s eyes flickered sideways in the direction of Lucian. The moment her eyes met his, crimson bloomed across her cheeks. He looked so happy….
(Bump?)
(Wow hi, it’s been soo long. I wasn’t active like, at all and i almost forgot about this place, but now that the summer is coming up, i’ll be around more. Would you want to continue this?)
(hey, I'm so sorry
I kind of disappeared for seven months (I think), and I don't know if you're still on this site, but
How are you? How has your year been?
I'd love to continue this, but I've promised myself I'm not doing any rps until Christmas break. School is much more hectic this year and it's difficult to balance that and Notebook on weekdays
Hope you're alright <3)
(hi i also sort of left for the longest time. I would also hope that if you're still around, we could continue with what we are doing. i hope you're doing well!)
