“Get off of me, you big lug!” Kasey laughed, reaching back to swat at him.
“Get off of me, you big lug!” Kasey laughed, reaching back to swat at him.
"Say please~" Barry sang, catching her wrist before her hand could make contact with his shoulder.
Kasey sighed deeply and let herself go slack. “Please, Barry?”
Barry responded by rolling off of her and getting unsteadily to his feet. “I’m up, I’m up.”
"I can breathe!" Kasey exclaimed dramatically, rolling onto her back and taking dramatized breaths.
“Haha.” Barry have a playful roll of his eyes. “Right, I’m going to have my shower…”
Kasey chuckled softly and sat up to smile at him. "You know I love you~! Have fun with your shower. I'm going to go start on breakfast."
“Mkay,” he murmured, bending over to press a kiss to the top of her head.
"You can just come out to the kitchen when you're dressed. I might still be working on the food, but you're always welcome to help," Kasey said, smiling up at him before she stood with a soft sigh.
Five minutes later, Barry was standing in the shower while hot water poured over his closed eyelids and down his body, curls of steam rising up from the bottom of the bathtub. he rubbed his forehead, lost in thought as sloshing and quiet hissing filled his ears.
A ring…. one on my hand and one on hers…. The thought terrified him as much as it excited him. He loved her with all of his being, that much was ridiculously clear, but would she think they were too young? Would she be scared? Would she say no?

Kasey was oblivious to her boyfriend's thoughts as she made breakfast for them (she'd put her barriers up as soon as she thought about it, not wanting to get another surprise like she had earlier). She'd decided on chocolate chip pancakes, simple but delicious. Hopefully, Barry would like them. This would be the first time she'd made them for him.

Barry took his time getting dressed afterwards, his skin coated in a thin layer of moisture, body radiating warmth. Eventually, he drifted into the kitchen, his mind clearly far away.
Kasey was humming as she cooked, and she turned around slightly at the sound of soft footsteps behind her. She smiled at the sight of Barry and waved him over to the stove, share she was flipping pancakes.
"How was your shower?" she asked quietly, noticing how far away he seemed to be.
It took Barry about five seconds to realize that Kasey had spoken to him. “Hm? Oh, yeah. It was good,” he replied awkwardly, suddenly reminded of the fact that his hair was still unbrushed.
"Good. I'm glad," Kasey said with a soft chuckle. She took in his still-slightly-damp appearance and felt her cheeks grow a little warm as she realized he'd probably noticed her checking him out. "Anyway, I've got some pancakes made. We're just waiting in the last few."
Barry blinked rapidly, the incredibly tempting smell of pancakes hitting him point-blank in the face. “Oh—Thanks, Kase. That sounds—Pancakes sound great.”
Kasey’s smile turned somewhat curious and concerned. What I’m the world was going on with him? She could easily slip into his mind and figure it out, but she considered that an invasion of privacy and tried not to do so without permission.
“You good? Nothing happened in your shower that would be concerning?” she asked, half joking.
This remark earned her a soft chuckle. “Haha. But seriously, I’m fine. Just distracted. Sorry.”
“Good,” Kasey chuckled before turning around to flip a pancake. She checked the bowl to make sure that she had used the last of the batter before wiping her finger in it and licking the batter off it. “Anyway, this is the last pancake I have to finish. Would you mind setting the table?”
"Not at all."
Barry leaned forward to give her an affectionate peck on the cheek, the fog in his head dispelling as he opened a cupboard and took out two plates. "Do we have Nutella?" he called over his shoulder, reaching next for the cutlery.
“Probably. Check the cupboard,” Kasey said as she flipped the pancake onto a plate. She glanced over at Barry with a fond smile before walking over to the table and setting the stack of pancakes down.
They did, in fact, have Nutella, which Barry eagerly carried over to the table along with a packet of chocolate chips and a bowl of homemade strawberry whip cream. "Yum. These look delicious, babe."
“This is so much sugar… So much chocolate,” Kasey chuckled as she watched him bring everything over. “We are so obsessed…”
"I can bring out the ice cream, too," he offered with a laugh. "What can I say? I'm an addict."
"Well, I'm an addict of you," Kasey declared before she realized fully what she said. When she did realize it, her cheeks burst into a bright red.
At that moment, Barry's grin was brighter than the light of a thousand suns.
"Aw, Kase," he chuckled, reaching out to pull her snugly into his embrace. "I'm addicted to you too, love."
Kasey gave up on the groan that she wanted to let out, instead opting for a sigh as she relaxed into his arms. "Yeah, yeah… Love you."
"Have you heard that Bon Jovi song?" Clearing his throat, Barry began to sing in a low, husky voice. "When you get drunk I'll be the wine~"
"No, I haven't… Sing it for me?" Kasey asked softly, smiling up at him as she wrapped her arms around him.
“It’s called ’I’ll Be There For You’..” Suddenly growing bashfully, he bit the inside of his cheek. “Are you sure you want to hear me sing that?”
