(Sorry it’s a busy morning)

I cleared my throat awkwardly, turning to Sterling and Eden. “Alright. We should probably get started.”

(It’s totally cool!)

Gray’s POV:

I finally turned towards them, taking the initiative to remove the paper clip and spread the paper triangles.

I furrowed my eyebrows. Algebra was the only form of maths I looked forward to work on. I was… the lazy type of student, I guess. I didn’t pay attention in class, and sometimes I didn’t bother doing my homework, but I guess I was good at it.

“We should divide the triangles into four and work on them individually,” I muttered. “That way, we each can work on something and let the other know if they found an answer to a specific equation so we can put the pieces together.”

I nodded along, staring down at the crescent-shaped marks my fingernails had made in my wrist. “That sounds good.” Careful to avoid Gray’s hand, I reached for the pile closest to me.

Gray’s POV:

I was surprised when Eden quickly announced an answer to one of the questions she had. It wasn’t like these questions were hard—they weren’t. They were surprisingly easy, but it still startled me at how easily Eden solved one.

“X equals negative twelve,” she said, looking over at us expectantly. “Who has that?”

I looked over at my pile, unable to the answer she was looking over. I shook my head before moving on to my question.

Gray’s POV:

I looked over at my problems before looking up.

“I have that,” I said, pushing the problem towards Sterling so he could ‘fit the pieces’. “I need n equals one half.”

Eden’s POV:

I put the equation and answer together and set it aside, instead trying to find the answer Gray found.

“N equals one half…” I murmured as I tried to find it. “I don’t have it.”

Gray’s POV:

I furrowed my eyebrows, trying to solve the question again.

“Did I do it correctly?” I murmured to myself, crossing out the work I’d done before to do it again. I got the same answer as before.

@blue_topaz

"Wait…." I sifted through my pile, making a few quick adjustments. "Got it! Right here." Handing it to Eden, I gave a slight smile

Eden’s POV:

I nodded at Violeta.

“It’s for him,” I told her, looking at Gray. “On the other hand, I need the answer x equals zero and y equals fifteen. X and Y intercepts, answer to the same question.”

Eden’s POV:

I smiled and took it, connecting the pieces.

“Thank you, Ry,” I said. The pieces I had were all pairs of two. I looked at one piece and frowned. “Does anyone have m equals six? It fits right here.”

Gray’s POV:

I pushed the answer Eden needed towards her. It was connected to another piece as Eden brought her triangle closer to seal it.

“Your piece goes right here,” I muttered to Violeta, pointing to the equation in the middle of the connected pieces. “In the middle.”

At this point, we were done with the top of the pyramid, as well as a little bit of the sides.

Eden’s POV:

“I have h equals seven,” I answered, pointing towards the end of the pyramid. “Right there.”
