Hi! Sorry I’m back lol))
Trent nodded. “For training purposes. I suppose you don’t know what a demigod is?”
Hi! Sorry I’m back lol))
Trent nodded. “For training purposes. I suppose you don’t know what a demigod is?”
“No. Dammit” he flinched again “those monsters did this to my arm” there was burn marks and slashes all over his left arm
“Calm down.” Trent soothed again, stepping back so the Apollo kids could patch the boy up.
Almost an hour passed and they finished patching him up and he stood from the cot and asked “what’s a demigod?”
"It's what you-we-are." Ophelia spoke up, stepping forward.
He only answered with a look of confusion
“What?”
“Before we explain, what’s your name?” Trent piped up from where he’d been loyally sitting nearby for the hour’s duration.
“My names jake, Jake Riley “
“What’s different about demigods compared to normal people?”
(Hello)
“Trenton Horne.” He introduced himself calmly. “Have you ever witnessed anything strange? Besides those monsters you just met a few hours ago?”
“I have met strange people and some other things..” he thought for a moment
“Is that my mom never was at home”
Trent nodded solemnly. “One last question. Do you know anything about Greek mythology?”
“Yeah a lot I really like most history”
Trent chewed his lip, debating on how to word this. “Okay, this is going to sound crazy, but hear me out.”
“Yeah”
“A demigod—what we all are here, is someone who had one human parent and one boldly parent, making them half god.” He explained slowly. “My mother is Aphrodite.”
His face was stunned “wait so my mom is one of the goddesses”
Trent ran a hand through his hair. “Mostly likely. You may or may not get claimed by her. They don’t always claim their children.” He explained.
Ophelia huffed a wry laugh. "So don' hold out on it."
“It would be great to be the child of Hecate”
“Do yourself a favor and don’t try to favor certain gods or goddesses. Stay out of their business. Safer that way.” Trent said sharply.
“Okay. Hey what are those weird cabins for”
“Places for the kids here to stay. A cabin for each god or goddess. We train and learn here. Welcome to Camp Half-Blood, Jake.” He smiled warmly, holding out his hand for the boy to shake.
He shook his hand and asked “since I have not been claimed where will I sleep?”
“The Hermes Cabin takes all the unclaimed demigods. You should have a home with them for now.”
“How do you train people?” (I could get claimed at the campfire)
(Okay, sounds good!)
“Usually in the arena, unless you’re an archer by any chance.” Trent replied swiftly.
“Nope last time I tried that in school I almost hit someone”
