“Y-yeah!” Vida agreed, “The faster we are, the better.”
“Y-yeah!” Vida agreed, “The faster we are, the better.”
Katya nodded and moved quickly. She wanted her new weapon, and figured there had to be something else there to grab.
"What if we take the horses?" Nathan offered "they have a few ponies and they said they breed them to be fast."
"As long as we're quiet about it," Vida told Nathan, "Let's go get weapons now! I've got my knife, but I think I need something a little more powerful too."
"Let's go raid the workshop of Sparrow!" He said excitedly.
"Sounds good. So are we each taking one?" Esmae grabbed her weapons and put them all in the appropriate places. Then headed for the door. "I'll go make sure no one is there." She left the other to finish. It wasn't quite fully dark, but it was dark enough to sneak up on someone if needed. The barn light was off so she assumed that no one was there. Crouching she walked over and turned the light on. "This is to easy."
"Maybe there are traps?" He asked
“I don’t know, let’s just hurry!” Vida squeaked, “I’m scared!”
Katya grabbed her weapon and an extra knife. She had almost grabbed a pistol before a chill ran down her back and she decided not to. She followed after Esmae, "They probably don't expect us to try and take the horses."
Vida grabbed the nearest sword and a couple of throwing knives, involuntarily holding her breath as she did so. She rushed out of the room and waited outside for the others.
Nathan picked his gloves up and found a few ninja stars as well as a small robotic chain whip.
Katya looked at the others, "Do we have a plan?"
"First we need to leave. We'll steal horses or ponies, and we can come up with the rest of the plan on the road, can't we?" Vida suggested.
Katya nodded, "Yeah. But do we have a plan to steal the horses?"
"Um… well I figure when nobody's looking…?" Vida murmured.
She didn't know enough about how the stables were set up to say for sure.
"I mean that's a duh," Katya looked at Vida, "Do we take big horses? Small horses? Ponies?"
Esmae paced around in the stables waiting for the others. "If they don't soon, we're definitely going to be found out." As she waited she looked for a horse herself. She wanted a beautiful one, but also a fast one.
(But they're at the stables?)
"I don't know. I don't think we can ride big horses well," she reasoned, "Ponies aren't as fast, but they're smaller and can carry our things. What do you think?"
"Let's take smaller horses," Katya decided, "We don't need ponies. We're not carrying a lot."
(Oh, Haha. My bad.)
"thoroughbred horses are known for their speed though. That's what breed race horses are. So if we don't want to be followed easily, I would recommend those." Esmae gestured to the back of the stables where they were kept.
"Okay!" Vida agreed, "That's probably a good idea. We just have to be fast and careful when we go."
Katya nodded, "Yeah. Let's steal the horses."
Esmae saw one that was beautiful. It was all black, and its coat was so shiny, anyone could tell he was very well taken care of. "This one, this one is definitely mine." The horse huffed and blew air in her face.
"Do we really all need a separate horse?" Katya asked Esmae, "We could probably share."
"No way, sorry, but I'm not sharing a horse." Esmae's always loved horses, and if she got one it was going to be hers. "Y'all can get your own."
"That's just being sel-fish," Katya responded, "There's four of us. We should only really need two horses. I don't think Nathan knows how to ride and I don't either."
"You don't know how to ride a horse? Isn't that one of the first things you learn?" Esmae laughed as she grabbed a halter from the tack shed. She then opened the gate and put a lead on to tie the horse up and get it ready to leave.
"If I learned I don't remember," Katya put an emphasis on the last word trailing after Esmae, "Like most of my friends."
"Fine, but this is my horse, I'm just giving you a ride." Esmae really didn't want too, but this was something she could do anything about. "And in the future remind me to teach you." Quickly Esmae grabbed a saddle and effortlessly put it on. It came like second nature to her.
