"thank you." Jay said soon the nurse walked out and looked at them both.

Kate gave her a hard look back out of instinct. "What?"

The nurse just shook their head and walked away.

Kate tried the door and hissed between her teeth. Locked.

Jay shook his head and pulled something out of his pocket and quickly unlocked the door. "I'm going to go home." He said quietly after he unlocked the door.

She looked at him – her gaze a mix of awe, love, and confusion. "O-Okay…"

"bye. Also here is the key to that room. I took it off of someone." He said and smiled.

"Jay…" She sighed and kissed him softly.

He kissed her back lightly then went down the hallway and stopped. "By they way my car is yours till I get the cast off." He said then went got on the elevators to the bottom floor and left.

She watched him leave and went back in. Maria was laying on the bed, seemingly asleep, with something attached to her arm.

(Ooooh, idea! What if the nurse works for the Shadow Agency place and that's why they're not letting her in, because they're trying to poison/kill Maria Hill.)

(yeah. Sounds good.)
Jay walked down the side walk and out of the hospital parking lot.

Kate frowned and looked at the needle in Maria's arm. She was about to touch it when the barrel of a gun pressed against the back of her head. "Step away from the patient." Before Kate could react, something slammed into the back of her head. White-hot pain rushed through her skull, and she crumpled to the floor – unconscious.

Jay saw a car pull up in front of him and stop. Some people inside of were talking for a moment then rolled down their window. "Aren't you Bluejay second in command."
"Yeah?" He said hesitantly.
"Get in we will give you a ride to the agency. We are having a bit of a party soon."
Jay nodded and got in.

"Wake her up," someone muttered.
A blunt object smacked her face. Kate gasped and coughed, spitting out blood on the second cough.
"Good, you're up," a voice taunted.
Kate's arms and legs were tied around a pole. "What is this? Where am I?"
"You'll find out soon enough. Now shut up!" The object hit her in the stomach, and she winced.

Jay got to the agency moments later. People nodded their heads as he entered. He then walked into the boss's office. "Hey. Guess who is back from vacation!" He said in a overly excited voice.

"Where am I?" Kate demanded.
"Shut up!" A hard hit to the right side of her ribs.
She screamed.

"sorry. You were gone for awhile and also I threw a party. We even have a guest of honor. Now take those clothes. And change."
Jay nodded and picked up the clothes. They were his outfit from working here he left the room changed into the Navy blue outfit and walked back in.

"Tell me where I am!" she demanded. Another thought struck her. "Where's my mom?!"
This earned multiple hits all over her body.

Soon Jay was lead to a table the boss sat at the head and he sat right next to him. The boss told him that the guest of honor would sit at the other end of the table for safety.

"Does the boss want her yet?"
"I don't know."
"Well go find out!"
"Where is my mother?!" Kate demanded. "Agent Maria Hill, where is she?!"

"sir. should the guest be seated."
"Yes but please gag them I would rather like them to stay silent." He said. Slowly people started to fill the empty seats.

(Okay, just making sure!)

"Give me that cloth."
Someone reached for Kate's neck. She flinched and tried to move away, but her restraints held her pretty well. A cloth gag was tied around her mouth, then her restraints were cut and she toppled to the ground. Before she could think, a heavy foot pressed into her back. She wanted to scream, but her sounds got absorbed by the cloth. Her wrists and ankles were re-tied, tighter, and she was forced to her feet. She stumbled out into a loud room, the noise making her ears cloudy. Blood trickled down her forehead.

Jay didn't pay attention to the other end of the table he peacefully talked to the boss and asked questions regarding what happened while he was away.

Kate was shoved into a chair and the back of her head smacked against the high base. Spots danced across her vision. She had only one clear thought – I have to find Mom.

The boss suddenly started clapping when he noticed his 'guest of honor' had arrived.

Kate was hyperventilating rapidly into her gag. In a normal condition, she could've easily broken her restraints, but her head was light and numb, and her body was covered in bruises from the merciless beating.
