“Alas, it’s been an honor to fight alongside you, my liege.” Trenton saluted, attempting to hide the goofy smile on his face from Lydia. He managed to school his expression into something stoic with full intent on blaming his apparence on anything other than trying to fight the ocean.

Trenton was unable to hide his smirk as Lydia approached, just barely stifling a fit of laughter.

“I’m afraid I misunderstand. Us? We are perfectly dry. Are you feeling quite alright, dwarf?” Trenton struggled to keep a straight face, looking up at the sky to avoid making eye contact with Lydia.

“Immature? You dare denounce me as such? This betrayal will not be forgotten.” Trenton scowled, a little too dramatically to be taken seriously.

Trenton pouted slightly, his face morphing into a frown. “You have poor manners, Lydia. You’re lucky that I, am educated young man, know better than to… oh, I don’t know—“ Trenton cut himself off by engulfing Lydia into a hug, making sure to get water all over her as well.

@Hawkeye

Lydia laughed, saying, “I’ll get you for that one, when you least expect it!” In a dramatic voice, winking to let him know it was a joke.

Trenton smiled warmly at her. “Try me, dwarf.” He teased playfully. “Now, to the showers! Sand is repulsive.” He grumbled, picking up his sneakers.

“The gods seem to be against me having a good hair day.” Trent grumbled, trying to stare up at his forehead. “I may use superglue instead of gel tonight to ensure looking somewhat decent in front of a crowd.”

“Sky mom or earth mom?” Trent asked, a bit amused. “Either way, it’s being… unruly. I’m not a fan of unruly. It ought to listen to me.” He complained, quietly, mumbling under his breath. “I may need to convince someone to aid me in taming it after the shower.”

@Hawkeye

Lydia thought for a second, unsure if she should offer, but definitely not in front of Sam. “I’m not sure that your hair is capable of listening to you.”

“It needs to learn to be.” Trenton complained. The parts of his hair the dried had taken to sticking up at different angles despite Trent’s valiant attempts to flatten and smooth it out. “Don’t you see why I need so much hair gel? I look like an imbecile.”

Deleted user

“You are not allowed to say that.” Trenton rolled his eyes at the both of them. “Not after the haircut you had earlier. I’ll teach you how to cut your own hair later so that never happens again.”

@Hawkeye

Lydia feigned offense, while Sam said, “Oh, you got your hair cut.”
“Did you just now notice that?” Lydia asked, eyebrow raised.

“You have good hair anyways. It was healthy.” Trent commented absentmindedly, stopping for moment to flick sand off his foot in the same manner in which a cat flicks water off its paw.

Trenton spotted the showers and started to walk towards them. Suddenly he froze. “I forgot! Ugh—“ He cut himself off spinning on his heel and heading towards the cabins abruptly.

Trenton came back a few minutes later, grumbling quietly to himself. In his arms was a change of clothes, a fancy looking shampoo bottle, and two extra CHB shirts. He set down the other thing, holding onto the extra shirts. “One for you and one for Sam. You both got a bit wet from the water.” He held out the clothes for Lydia to take. “They’re both mine so they might be bigger on you and Sam.”

@Hawkeye

“Thanks.” Lydia said, handing one to Sam. “Now for real, Sam, go shower.” Sam has stopped as he’d seen Trent.

Trenton nodded his head swiftly in acknowledgment before taking a shower that was longer than necessary in order to get all the dry salt out of his hair. “I despise ocean water.” Trenton stepped out of the shower, wearing everything but his shirt as he used a towel to dry his hair, the shirt in question swung over his shoulder.

If one was paying attention they’d see a misshapen area of skin on Trent’s left abdomen. Trademarked by what clearly had occurred after stitches had only mended some of a wound where an incision had been made giving the area the appearance that his skin was patchwork.
