BUT THAT’S PRIVATE! WH-WHY?! SH-SHE CAN’T- I DON’T- AHGG! (He slumps down on the couch and put his head down in his hands. He can’t believe she would just out privates and secrets like that! She so unpredictable… it is her charm though. He takes off his glasses and begins to clean them with his robe fabric.) My apologies. It’s incredibly rude to not introduce oneself upon arrival. (He places his glasses back on his face.) My name is Philip. I’m a witch and master alchemist. I’m second in command to the Wicken Convent of my world. It is nice to meet you all. (He hopes that they’ll just flood over his slight panic.)
Ragnor: Lifts his arm, giving a two fingered salute with his left, good arm
Pleasure Philip
Imruck: Tilts his head again
Chesh sticks out her hand, now upside down. "Chesh." She said trying to push her long hair out of her face.
Ameria: Why am I the only human?
Mizu: Might not?
Max coughs: You're not the only human, actually.
Ameria: Oof…That's good then.
Mizu: I told you Ameria.
Ameria: Shush
Ah. Chesh. (He goes to shake her hand.) Hel has told me plenty about you. “The coolest of cats” she says. (He looks over at Max.) She calls you “a bro beyond bro standards”.
Ragnor: Chuckles, watching when a green glow appears on his shoulder, appearing soon as Eve
Eve: Looks towards him
Hey, got some business that needs to be attended to
Ragnor: Gives a nod, looking to Imruck
Alright, thanks Eve
Imruck, let's head back. I'm sure you're hungry
Imruck: at the mention of being 'hungry' seems to leap up
Yes! Starving!
Ragnor: Chuckles, glancing back
Business again, might be back around again
Later
Gives a slight wave, leaving
Imruck: Follows closely behind Ragnor, disappearing with him
Max finger guns: Well, Hel isn't wrong.
Chesh laughed. "That's adorable that Hel thinks of me like that." She said. "Where did Hel go anyway?"
She er- well… Our convent sometimes gets unpleasant visits from hostile Draconians. And it's usually her favorite pastime to pummel them into the ground with a brute force expected from a gorilla. (He explains it all rather nonchalantly.) After that she has to attend several important meetings, which she dreads. So she'll be gone for a bit. (He crosses his legs on and looks at Chesh from the brim of his glasses.) You look human, but something tells me you're not. How is that?
Chesh shrugged. "I am human. Well mostly. It's hard to explain." She said as she rubbed the back of her neck. "I was put through somethings that no one should ever be put through." She said looking away from him. "I can explain but it might be a bit confusing."
(Philip waves his hand dismissively.) Now, now. Hel has told me you underwent severe genetic reconstruction of your biological structure and as a result acquired several powers, including levitation and invisibility. I want to know if this affected your humanity in anyway. Do you still feel human after that? Or do you consider yourself one no longer? (He asked this all rather straightforwardly, as if he was interviewing Chesh.)
Chesh sat there for a moment, contemplating this. "No. I don't feel human anymore but it's not because of the experiments. I don't think." She said, scratching her head.. "Damn! That's a hard question to answer."
Hmm… how… (He paused a moment, looking for the right words.) mildly concerning… (He scanned her a bit longer, as if figuring out a puzzle.) Were you imbued with something of magic or of science?
"Both I think." She said trying to think. "I was way to young when the experiments were going on and I don't like to visit the lab unless I have to." She explained. "They used science stuff to kill the others and put there magical essence into me. Does that make sense?" She asked.
(Philip nodded his head up to indicated he understood.) Have you undergone any malignant or damaging effects from the magic they put into you? It's effect on a human's mental orientation results in insanity, psychosis, and other sorts of disorders. (Now he sounds like a physician.) This all may sound invasive, but I merely want to know if you have experienced any negative result from this "artificially implanted magic". (He chose those last words with the carefulness of a scholar.)
Chesh laughed. "What's with the big words?" She asked. "Anyways, I haven't had too many side effects. Other than some occasional panic attacks and flares of magic, I'm pretty good." She said. "I'm not sure if the panic attacks are like PSTD or they are side effect from the panic room."
(Philip put his hand on his chin as he looks at Chesh longer.) Does a… voice, speak to you when you use these powers? Not an actual voice, but thoughts that aren't yours, if you will. Thoughts that- (He searched the ceiling for an explanation.) -ask you questions or judge your motives.
Chesh shook her head. "No. Why?" She asked. "'Cause if your looking for answers like that Nykidia or Night would be better to talk about that." She said nonchalantly.
Hm… Alright then. (He adjusts his glasses slightly.) A being exists in our world known for creating us and gifting us with absolute control over magic. It is one of complete nothingness, an endless abyss of raw, unbridled magic with the ability to think and give and hopefully nothing else. I was wondering if those experimenters had somehow acquired its magic and forced it on you. Apparently not. (He relaxes just a bit and sits less tense.) Despite the fact that all Necrotzen wield magic effortlessly, very few have the ability to wield the voids raw power. Improper use of it leads to horrific punishments enforced by the void itself. Hel is one of those few users, but she actually, well, made "friends" with it. I have no idea how, but at least she won't get punished for her tomfoolery. (He looks to Chesh.) Do you use your power responsibly, or like a daft fool? (It appears he didn't notice how harsh his choice of words were.)
Chesh laughed at this. "Depends on how you would describe 'daft fool'." She said. "I don't use my powers for good if that's what you mean. I use them only to protect." She said, looking away from Philip. She seemed mad.
(He gives her a somewhat confused look.) Using it to protect is good. It means you care about other people and trust them. (He looked down and thought for a moment.) Unless you meant protect yourself. In which case, yes, that is incredibly selfish if you have friends and family you could protect instead. (This time, he did catch how cruel his wording was and made an attempt to reconstruct it.) That came out wrong. Not… "selfish"… per se… maybe "cautious". (He needed a moment to think again.)
Chesh chuckled, still not looking at Philip. "I only use it to protect others. I don't matter. What's the point of using them to protect something so worthless? It would be selfish to use them that way." She said, her voice devoid of emotion.
(Philip looked at her in absolute shock. What happened? What did he do?? Did he break her??? How? Wait, no he didn't… something else is going on.) Chesh? Chesh. Look at me child. What's wrong? (His face showed extreme concern for her and he had his hands hovering over her shoulders, not wanting to make a wrong move.) Did I say something wrong? What's the matter?
"Hmm~?" She said as she turned to Philip. "No. I'm fine. Don't worry." She said with, surprisingly, a genuine smile on her face.
//A young boy walks into the room. He was tall, fairly intimidating, and his clothes were a bit unnatural. Something flickered through his hazel eyes as he glanced at the people and non-people in the room. The girl behind him was wearing some sort of suit, an eye patch covering one eye.//
Kalmir: Why am I here? Why was I summoned here?
//The girl behind him leaned over and whispered something into his ear//
Kalmir: Thank you. he reached into his pocket and pulled out a small paper So that's what this date and address meant.
