amy (the most wonderful woman in the world) sighed. "Well, keep me updated next time." "Sorry amy (the most wonderful woman in the world), I will." "Good." She pulled her younger sister into a half hug and kissed her forehead before heading upstairs. Ivy just smiled and shook her head. "Right, where were we?"
He looked up from his pancakes. "Uh… I don't remember."
"Doesn't matter." She shook it off, starting to clean up the breakfast preparing tools.
He watched her for a few seconds before speaking. "You need help?"
She flashed a quick smile at him. "No, I'm fine. You finish up."
He nodded and continued eating. It bugged him that he wasn't helping though. He wasn't just asking.
She hummed as she worked, lost in her own little world like she'd forgotten they were even there.
He smiled as she hummed. He liked it when she did that. It made everything just go away. Almost like nothing else mattered much.
Her humming turned to a soft singing as she continued to clean. This was just what she did.
He loved her voice. Her smile. Her existence. He loved her.
He must have been staring because Amelia kicked him under the table. He looked to see her smirk. "Shut up," he muttered.
His voice pulled her out of her thoughts and she blushed bright red, remembering that she wasn't alone in this kitchen. "Sorry, I'm not much of a singer."
He practically dropped his fork. "What?" He turned to face her. "You're wrong."
She turned to look at him. "Now that's a lie and you know it. I can't sing for the life of me."
"You're wrong. You can't convince me other wise." He crossed his arms over his chest. "Never ever."
"Is that so?" She crossed her arms in response. "And why not?"
"Because I'm stubborn," he said matter-of-factly. "And I can have my own opinions, can't I?"
"Yes, you can, but when said opinions are wrong, I must correct them." She shrugged.
"Opinions can't be wrong." He paused. "Opinions belong to the people. It is solely placed upon them to change them."
"Opinions can be proven wrong by facts." She bit back her smile, this was entertaining.
"Opinions can't be proven wrong. They can only be proven invalid, but they are never invalid to the person holding them." He could feel a smirk trying to get a hold of his lips. There it was. This little simple word battle brought out this light in her eyes. Her own little star she kept hidden.
She leaned forward, placing her elbows on the counter in front of him and her face in her hands. "I won't be able to convince you, will I?"
He leaned towards her, their faces only inches apart. "Nope."
She couldn't help but smile. He was just adorable. "This is why I love you so much." She barely gave him time to react before she kissed him sweetly.
He smiled and kissed her back.
"Ewwwwww!"
He pulled back. "Oops." He had forgotten that his sister was there.
Her smile only widened. "Get used to it sweetheart, whether he believes it or not, your brother is a hopeless romantic."
He looked to Amelia, half expecting her to yell at him again. Instead, he saw her giggling. "Finnneee!" She stood. "At least let me get out of the room first!"
She waved her off with a chuckle. "Go on! I'm waiting!" She smiled.
She giggled more as she ran up the stairs and into the room. As soon as he heard the door shut he turned back to her. "Hi.*
"Hey there cutie." She flashed a quick smile. "How's it going?"
"Hmm…" He pretended to think for a moment. "I seem to have forgotten how it's been."
