Siren stood up to look for her friends she walked accedentaly bumping into Lewis and, oh no, um…. well, she didn't exactly know who she was, last she knew they were enemies though.

"Hi," she said as she rolled her eyes," 'nice' to see you." You big jerk! She halfway thought and said yet sentence without even thinking.

Viva shuffled her feet a little, continuing to avoid Miles' gaze. Awkward, awkward, awkward… she thought, cursing herself for jumping away so suddenly. It hadn't meant anything. It had just been friendly.
But in the back of her mind, Viva knew she wanted it to mean something more, and that was what really scared her. If she wanted to keep Miles safe, she couldn't care about him as more than a friend. She just couldn't. Viva clenched her fists, frustrated.

"Alright… do you know what the teams are? For capture the flag?" Miles asked, trying to break the awkwardness.

"Athena, Apollo, Hermes, Zeus, Hades vs Dionysus, Hephaestus, Ares, Demeter, Poseidon and Aphrodite, I think," Viva replied, seizing the opportunity to change the topic like a lifeline.

"Looks like we're against each other," Miles said. He looked at the ring on his hand. "This'll probably come in handy,"

"Probably," Viva agreed. "It'll be handy for our quest too. We're leaving tomorrow morning at first light, did you know?"

He opened his mouth in surprise and confusion. He closed his mouth. "Yeah, I definitely knew that," he lied. "Since it was decided,"

Viva could see that Miles looked uncomfortable about something but she wasn't going to press him. "Yeah, I'm kinda nervous." she confessed. "Wow that sounds stupid, given that you've only been her for what, 3 days?"

Miles nodded. “Yup,” he said. “I’m a little nervous too, mostly because I still don’t understand most of this demigod thing,”

Viva felt the least she could do was answer any of Miles' questions. "What don't you understand?" She queried.

“Okay so aren’t we all cousins or something? Since all the gods are related?” Miles asked. “That’d be… extremely awkward. Also, what’s with the whole quest and prophecy thing? And how the hell does a whole shield fit in a ring?” He held up his hand with the ring on it. “I’m not the best at science, but I don’t think that’s possible.”

"Woah, slow down," Viva laughed. She gathered her thoughts. "Well, with the whole cousins thing, apparently godly DNA doesn't count or something like that. So dating someone in your cabin is a no-no, but anyone else is fair game I think. The quest/prophecy thing, well basically to go on a quest it is required that you have a prophecy, and cheating prophecies never really works so… And the shield/ring thing. Don't even ask. I have actually no idea, but if there's one thing you'll learn at Camp Half Blood, it's that science doesn't apply."

Miles smiled. “Okay, got it,” he said. “Thanks,”

"Really?" Viva asked, impressed. It had taken her much longer than that to accept this crazy reality.

“Yeah,” Miles said, shrugging. “I don’t know, I’ve just gotta accept that this is my life now. No need to try and wrap it around my head in a way that makes sense, because this is sense now. Does that make sense? I’m saying sense too much.”

Siren looking at the girl thought,Rude, awnser me geez! She said,"Ehem, Hello?"

"I don't know much," Perth began, looking at Lewis, "but I think the Greek world was meant to be complicated. Right now, I just wish I were a- what's it called- normal human being?"

"Yeah, I feel like that a lot, especially since my mum doesn't get a whole lot of recognition. If I'm going to be chased down by monsters, I might as well get some credit, you know? Basically we have the best- and by best, I mean absolute worst- of both worlds. We're fragile like humans and have these ridiculous godly powers that we can't handle." Lewis sighed, running a hand through his hair.

Siren went to Lewis and asked,"Who is she? I feel like I know her.."
