Ryker scaled the balcony railing and landed on one of the officers, elbowing him in the face and attracting some attention. He kicked another in the stomach but two thick arms wrapped around his neck. He made a strangled noise as he kicked off a wall.
Jake turned and fought the last of the officers in his group off.
Lea had lost one but couldn't shake the other "ok now what?" She asked herself as she backed into an allyway with a dead end "oh no just fricking great."
Ryker panted. Adrenaline coursed through his muscles. He yanked off his hoodie and pulled on the buttoned shirt of one of the officers. He scanned the area for any witnesses, but everyone had returned to their jobs. He could see the mayor in the window of her office, writing down something. He smiled at her, thinking, we're going to reveal how awful you are to the whole town. Get ready, Mayor.
Jake quickly took a uniform from the officer and put it on. He then walked over to where Ryker was.
Lea rolled her eyes and dropped kicked the officer, taking his shirt and uniform and slipping it on over her clothes "dumb ass"
Ryker chuckled at Lea's remark. "Remember to check their pockets." He reminded everyone, pulling a pair of keys and an ID from his officer's pocket. He noticed J walking towards him. "Yeah?"
"I'm good." Jake said as he pulled everything out of his pocket, even some weird smiley stickers.
"How should we enter?" Ryker wondered.
"got mine," she glanced up, hoping no one would take notice of the sudden guard change
"The front door?" Jake asked.
Ryker pulled the cap of his uniform low to hide his hair and eyes and slinked towards the front door of the big headquarters. It was the biggest building in town.
Jake put his own hat on and followed behind to the building.
Lea followed close behind, keeping her eyes down, away from any passer bys
"Officer? Can you hear me?" Ryker's walkie talkie spoke. Ryker swore under his breath. I don't know what this guy's voice sounded like! "Yes, over?" He replied unsurely.
"The mayor spotted some sketchy teens on the roof of the building near your post. is everything okay?"
"Yes! Fabulous. Perfect." Ryker quickly turned it off as he entered the building.
Jake entered quietly behind him, then looked at the name on the ID so he wouldn't forget.
Lea cracked a smile "fabulous? What kind of officer says fabulous?"
"This one!" Ryker grinned. He scanned the inside of the building. It was huge and elegant, like the lobby of a fancy hotel.
"Which way, or, should we split up?" Jake asked quietly smiling the whole time just in case of cameras.
"Stay together for now, maybe. I see a map over there - we don't know where to look for a bunch of abducted people." Ryker squinted at the brightly lit map near the front desk for an answer.
"If they were anywhere they would probably be out of town. But maybe if we could find a file room, we could find out." Jake offered as he looked over the map.
(Im leaving this. It was fun.)
(Ahhhhh I missed a lotttt….what should I have Katherine do since she didn't really help with the guards at all..)
(Maybe she could persuade someone to show them top secret files for the missing people)
(XD alright, let me read the last page quick so I have some idea of where they are now)
Katherine followed the group silently, keeping her head down and her hands in her pocket since she wasn't in a uniform like the others. She smiled at the ground and looked at the ground, studying the patterns on the floor intently. "We could always just ask someone where the information is..I can try if you guys cover me."
"Sure. Do your magic." Ryker replied, focusing on a grand staircase spiralling from the second floor of the building. He assumed the mayor was up there. He grimaced.
She stood back and continued to look at the map "this Is too convenient, just a map showing anything and everything…just seems too easy"
"Could they be hiding secret rooms? Ooh, I have an idea!" Ryker grabbed his ID card. "Maybe with verification, you can put in your ID card and the rest of the map will show! Or the thing with flour they do in crime shows! Well, those were banned, but still!"
