Kasey hummed, turning to bury her face in his chest. “I know… Thank you. I love you for that,” she whispered against him. But I still blame myself…
Kasey hummed, turning to bury her face in his chest. “I know… Thank you. I love you for that,” she whispered against him. But I still blame myself…
Liam gently pulled her onto his lap, pressing a kiss to her head before placing his chin on her shoulder, "Stop blaming yourself. I know you are because it's what you do."
A small smile tugged at Kasey’s lips, and she buried her face in his neck. “I can’t help it… I just can’t help but think that— that if it wasn’t for me… you wouldn’t have gotten pulled into this mess,” she admitted, her voice barely at a whisper.
Liam took one of her hands and rubbed circles into the back of it, “You don’t know that for sure,” He replied quietly, “I don’t blame you and you shouldn’t either.”
Kasey let out a soft sigh, nodding slowly. “Yeah… I know. Why don’t we, uh, go back to watching the movie, hm?” she murmured, shifting so she could lay her head in his lap.
"Okay love, if you want." He slowly cradled his fingers through her hair.
Kasey hummed, nodding. She snuggled into him further, enjoying the feeling of his fingers in her hair. It was nice to just relax with him like this.
Liam smiled, continuing what he was doing. If only they could have more nights like this.
“I suppose we should make, like, dinner or something,” Kasey mused quietly, though she didn’t move from her place.
Liam smiled softly, "We should… but we could also order food."
Kasey hummed in thought before nodding slowly. “True. What should we order? Pizza, Chinese…?”
"How about Indian?" Liam raised a brow at her.
“Indian works, too. Will you call, though? I’ll grab the phone for you if you do,” Kasey said, looking up at him with a small smile.
Liam kissed her forehead, "Sure love, I can call. Want anything in particular?"
Kasey thought for a moment before shaking her head. “No, not really. Just order me whatever,” she said, pushing herself off of his lap. “Thank you.”
“Anything for you love,” He sent her a wink, laughing lightly.”
Kasey chuckled a little and pushed at him gently. “All right, all right. Go order so we can eat.”
Liam grinned, standing and quickly grabbing his phone off the counter. He dialled the number to the nearest Indian restaurant, ordering two servings of curries and rice.
Kasey watched him get up with a smile. Gosh, she loved him… so much. It still hurt that she had let those things happen to him, but he was right. It— it really wasn’t her fault. It was Matt’s. If he hadn’t been such a psychopath, then they wouldn’t be in this position.
Liam rubbed at a spot on his chest as he walked back to the couch. Even though he'd taken painkillers he still ached in certain placed. He sighed, sitting down on the couch and snuggling into Kasey's side.
Kasey leaned into Liam when he sat down, resting her head on his shoulder. “Should we finish our movie?” she asked softly, shifting slightly to look up at him.
Liam kissed the top of her head and nodded, “I believe we should,”
“Where did Mortem disappear to?” Kasey wondered when Quake jumped up onto the couch again. She smiled and kissed the cat’s head before starting the movie.
“No idea,” Liam replied, sighing softly, “Probably in the bedroom or lurking in some corner.”
Kasey chuckled softly, stroking her kitten’s head. “Probably,” she murmured, leaning into him.
"Who knows where that old man is these days." He mumbled, resting his head on top of Kasey's.
Kasey smiled as she watched the movie. It was really nice to just be home with him again. She was glad they didn’t have to deal with anything for the moment.
(Skip?)
(Sure, to when?)
(Uh… Good question. Lol
Maybe the next day or something? They could go on a date?)
(A date sounds good. Maybe something happens on the date like another attack idk)
