"I sure hope so," he chuckled, leading her down the hall. There was a door at the end of it, which he slowly pushed open, then turned to cover her eyes with his hands. "No peaking, take a few steps forward.."

Kasey blinked a couple of times as he covered her eyes, then closed them and did as he said.

"You're special, babe. If anyone else asked me to do this, I would be incredibly suspicious of their intentions," she declared.

"I am your boyfriend," he chuckled tugging her into the middle of the room and slowly uncovering her eyes. "Do you– Do you like it?"

Kasey looked around the room, her mouth dropping into a small "o" as she did so.

"Babe… I love it. It's beautiful," she said softly.

And I don’t think he would have gotten the pillows yet, cos he didn’t know whether or not she’d like the place)

Barry came up behind her and lay his chin on the top of her head, wrapping his arms around her waist. “I’m really, really glad, Kase.”

Kasey leaned back into him, placing her hands over his. “This is going to be amazing… Thank you, Barry, for all of this…”

Barry bent his head to nuzzle the crook of her neck, overflowing with happiness and relief. “It was my pleasure… I take it you want this apartment?”

“Yes. Definitely,” Kasey agreed softly, turning her head so she could kiss him gently. “I love it.”

She might as well have told him that a unicorn had descended onto their balcony to gift them with eternal luck. Barry’s whole face lit up. He wrapped his arms around her in a fierce hug. “You have no idea how happy you just made me…”

(What the heck… Lol. That was the most ridiculous comparison I think I’ve ever read. 😂 Also, he was already hugging her from behind, remember?)

Kasey giggled slightly and kissed his cheek. “I’m glad you’re happy. And I’m so excited to move in.”

"So'my…" he murmured, turning her around and beginning to pepper her face with kisses.

Kasey giggled, squeezing her eyes shut as her face was covered in kisses from her boyfriend.

“That’s good,” she said, still giggling. “When can we start?”

"Moving in? As soon as we sort out things with the person who's renting it out. Maybe even as soon as next week." Barry finally kissed her mouth, the soft and tender action lighting a small fire in his chest.

Kasey smiled into the kiss and lifted a hand to his cheek.

“I hope it’s soon,” she murmured into his mouth.

“I love you… I can’t believe I get to live with you..” He tugged her closer, bumping their noses together.

“I know,” Kasey giggled excitedly, quickly kissing him again. “It’s amazing.”

"It's— God, I can't even find the words." Barry settled his hands on her waist and lifted her up, laughing quietly. His eyes shone like the sun, radiating joy and love.

Kasey laughed as she was lifted into the air. She rested her hand on Barry’s shoulders for balance, grinning down at him.

I’m so excited, she transmitted to him, unable to form words at the moment.

Barry spun her around, a delighted laugh escaping from his mouth, which was pulled into a huge grin.
So am I!

Kasey giggled more as she was spun. When they stopped, she leaned down to kiss him quickly.

“I love you,” she said softly.

Barry set her down as carefully as possible, slipping his fingers into her hair to kiss her back. “I love you too…”

Kasey hummed softly under her breathe as she packed her last few things into her bag. Today was the day! She and Barry would finally be moving into their new apartment, which they would share. Together.

A grin overtook her lips at the thought. She couldn’t wait to live with him, to wake up by his side every morning and not just the few times his roommate wasn’t home.

Barry rapped his knuckles against the door, his smile bright enough to rival the sun. “Kase? You in there?”

Kasey grinned wider at the sound of his voice. “Yeah, I’m here! C’mon in. The door’s unlocked,” she called cheerily.

Barry opened the door and entered the room, setting his back down on the floor and rapidly approaching her. Wrapping his arms tightly around his girlfriend, he let out an exhilarated chuckle. “Today’s the day!~”

Kasey laughed lightly and hugged him back. "I know! I'm so excited. I can't wait until we're officially moved in."
