Frost saw that Citra had been hit… and unwillingly she was already summoning a frost blaze attack that would hit all her friends..
Zol jumped at Frost and summoned a wall of light around her. "You are safe!" he said, before racing off to do more work. He grabbed the leader again and began to choke him with his staff.
"Stop!" he commanded. "Stop or he shall die!"
Citra and the hunter were frozen, if either of them moved the other would die. Tears where threatening to spill out of her, the panic in her heart was so bad. She would fight to protect her friends, of course, even if that made her evil for spilling the life of another.
Zol looked at her anguished. "Citra… Do it."
She only hesitated for a moment more, her eyes flashing to Zol's just before she dragged her shadow blade across the hunter's throat. His own knife dropped to the ground by her head as he flailed and gasped for breath. Citra jerked out from under him, looking horrified, crawling away until her back hit a tree. She was covered in his blood. She opened her mouth to scream but nothing came out, just the rush of air as her lungs constricted.
In a flash she summoned a wall of blackflame around her, shutting herself off from the fight, and collapsed to the ground.
(Awwwwww yeah!)
(Ruuuuuude My poor BABY. Citra is supposed to be my cinnamon roll!)
(But just think of all the fluff we can have fun with because of it later.)
(there better be. damn)
(And this is why we rp. Alternate realities.)
Piper blinked her eyes open. What…What happened? She moved to get up, but as she tugged her foot, it wouldn't budge. Glancing down, she saw it was encased in ice, and so was the rest of the stream. Panic started to bubble inside her, and she tugged her foot frantically. Come on, come on! Why won't it budge?! Tears formed at her eyes as her anxiety rose. Ohnonononononono! I'm going to be stuck in the ice forever! Or they're going to cut off my foot! Then I won't be able to swim… Oh no, what am I going to do!
Frost threw herself at the light barrier, attacking it to get free, of course she didn't want to, but it wasn't like she had a choice. Thank you Zol she thought
(I have the leader by the throat. Shouldn't they surrender? Or not?)
(They won't surrender… No matter what you do, they act like a kind of cult, they won't stop. and instead of killing their leader someone of the next rank will just take control…)
Zol knocked the leader out with his staff and raced over to Piper. He knelt by her feet. "I suppose I can no longer bring any harm to you." he mumbled, and placed his hands on the ice. His hands began to glow and the ice to melt. A moment later her foot was free, and Zol stood. He nodded to her and rejoined the battle.
(You know she is free right?)
(eek, sorry!! i didn’t see your last post, since it just took me to the next page. i’ll fix it right away!)
(S'cool.)
Piper sat there for a moment after she was freed, thinking about Zol’s words. ’I suppose I can no longer bring any harm to you.’ It was a terrible thing that he had to say that, and she felt sorry for his need to clear it up.
“Thank you Zol,” Piper called as she sat up, searching for the Hunter that held Frost’s amulet. Locating him, she charged, water already flying at the man.
Still shielded by her blackfire, Citra had collapsed to one knee and was breathing hard. She was using shadows that she pulled from the trees to lash out at the hunter's that approached her. She already had several pinned high up on some nearby trees. She was shaking, but not out of exhaustion, she was riding an adrenaline high that kept waving over her. She needed to calm down she knew it, but not until her friends were safe.
Zol fought for real now. He swung his staff in quick, precise motions. Those that enslaved others were some of the lowest creatures. All around him enemies fell.
Qfrost was forced to keep attacking Zols barrier around her with all her strength. And she was shocked to see that a crack has begun to form no!
Zol charged after the one who had Frost’s amulet.
Frost could only watch as she pounded the crack with magic. Causing it to get wider and wider.
(Now other peeps need to get over here.)
(That would help…)
Piper continued to throw water at the Hunter who had Frost’s amulet, causing him to stumble back. She knew she was overworking herself, but it a battle she couldn’t afford to leave.
(sorry sorry!)
Citra vanished the blackflame wall around her, only to build up another one around Zol's wall protecting Frost. That should keep her at bay for a bit longer. Her shadows tightened around the hunters she was holding up in the trees, securing them more firmly to their prisons. She sent a searing whip of flame towards the hunter bearing Frost's amulet. Grimacing at the pain in her head, she was beginning to tire.
Frost was relieved when she saw Citra's fire surround Zol's shield. thank the stars she thought as her body continued to attack the barrier.
Zol looked around. They would loose. There were too many. He crouched on the ground and sent a wave of power through the entire army, knocking them all to the ground. “Quickly!” he shouted, ”Get the amulet now!”
