('Tis no biggie.)
Abigail saw a flash of light behind her and went to investigate. Upon seeing q man fall to the ground unconscious, she quickly rushed over and tentatively looked at him for any signs of injury.
Cannon walked over beside Abigail and the unconscious man. "Is he breathing?" He asked her, his eyes wandering away to the strange machine that had appeared with the man.
"I-i dont know. I'm afraid to check." She said, laughing nervously. She studied the unconscious male before deciding to go and check his pulse. "Oh my God hes breathing! But I dont know if yes breathing normally or not." She said standing up
"Maybe he just…fainted? I guess?" He commented not paying full attention.
Joseph suddenly snapped his head back up. He attempted to stand, but found his legs were gelatinous, his stomach knotted together and head pounding like a drum. "They… they're coming. I can't stop it. Please, I need-" he broke off into a fit of coughing.
Cannon stepped back as the man jerked awake "Sir? Are you okay?" He questioned unsure of really what to do.
"No, no, I'm not okay, nor is anyone else here. You need to leave, they're coming. I can't hold them off. I tried, believe me. What time is this, exactly?" Joseph asked hoarsly
"Its 8:30 in the evening?" Abigail said, looking at the man weirdly
"No, I mean, what time? Era? The breach has opened. There is no alternative." Joseph coughed, then choked, droplets of blood spewing through his lips. He pulled himself up, leaning on the machine.
"Forget about the time, we need to get you to a hospital!" She said
"No, no, I'm supposed to be fine in a minute. Do you have any books? Have you any idea where a library might be!? Libraries always have the answers, you know. Handy things, they are. Library, where is one! Tell me!" Joseph roared, despite his low energy, being barely able to stand.
Abigail to a step back, clearly frightened by his behaviour. She took a deep, calming breath before speaking again "what do you want to know and why?"
(What date should it be?)
(Basically the 21st century, probably around the summertime.)
"What is the time? Are you deaf?" Joseph snapped, waving a shaky finger.
"Its July 18, 2018. You dont need to be so rude. For a person who is half dying, you aren't very kind." She glared at him
"Oh, I don't have the time to be polite. We don't have that time. Time doesn't even exist now!" Joseph said. He doubled over in pain, sitting down back onto the Time Machine. "Or at least, not how it's supposed to. It's… hard to explain."
"Sir not to be rude, but what are you talking about?" Cannon questioned struggling to follow through the mans rushed and apparently urgent talking.
"I'm not sure if this dimension is stable. Look at your watches, what's the current time? Or are the hands not moving?" Joseph said worriedly.
