Rikard couldn't hear what the kids at the Aphrodite table were saying, but he got the gist of it. Frustrated, he concentrated on his breakfast, trying not to blush or go punch the Aphrodite cabin.

An Ares kid came over to the table and handed a few drachmas to the girl next to him. "Stupid Tyche…" He heard the kid mumble before walking off. No one at Joshua's table even looked up; this was a pretty common occurrence.

//so like I feel bad that Freyja was being mean to Tessa now
dangit this is why I can’t play mean characters
anyways I’m gonna pretend that Jude and Kyna are helping her figure out a way to apologize or smthing also I am just bumping this back to the first page lmao

Freyja started at the ceiling. She shared a bunk with Tessa //is this ok?// and despite their differences, they always kept it clean.

Tessa stared at her food, pushing it around on her plate, not really hungry.

Rikard got up from his table abruptly, slamming his cutlery down. He stalked out of the pavilion, not caring about the muttering behind him. He couldn't endure the Aphrodite table's teasing for another ten minutes before the days activities officially started.

Freyja wandered along the path, kicking a rock. She went to the arena, as she and Kyna had been planning to meet there anyways.

Rikard headed towards the arena, needing to let off some steam. Gods, he hated those gossiping Aphrodite kids. Freyja and Tessa were great, but apart from that…

She leaned against a wall, flipping a knife in her hands. Kyna and Jude were rushing over from the Athena cabin, so she waved to them.

Rikard entered the arena, surprised to see Frejya flipping a knife between her hands.

She was equally surprised. “Hey,” she called. “What are you doing here?”

"Running away from your annoying cabin mates…" Rikard grumbled.

“Same,” she laughed. “When it comes to things like this, honest to God, only Tessa and Lacey are okay.”

\ im pretty sure piper isnt at CHB anymore. cos @CharlieK said it was after the HoO series. And in Trials of Apollo, Jason and Piper have left camp half blood to do year 12 or uni or something… idk \

"I know." Rikard agreed. "I feel really bad for you. My cabinmates may be plant obsessed, but at least they aren't brats half the time. I mean honestly, I was about to throw my fork at them if I didn't get out of the pavilion."

“I wish you did. Would serve them right,” she said, throwing the knife into the air and catching it. “Hey, didn’t cut myself this time.”

Rikard laughed. "Yeah. I mean, honestly, those kids would ship a tree and a rock! It's so ANNOYING!"
After saying this, Rikard realised how stupid it sounded. A tree and a rock? he berated silently. That was the best he could do?

“You’re not wrong,” she grinned, then looked past him. “Hey, Kyna, Jude!”

Rikard turned around and waved at Kyna and Jude. "Hey!" he called.

They waved back. “Heard your siblings,” Jude started.
“Must suck to deal with them everyday,” Kyna continued.
“You should probably apologize to Tessa - she’s the nice one.”
Freyja groaned. “I hate you two.”

Tessa sighed and stood up. She left her uneaten food at her place. Then she walked slowly to the arena. Maybe she could get some practice in.
