"I've read your file, yes," Casey said, setting down her teacup. "But I was curious what else you could tell me about yourself, and what you would assume I meant when I asked you to tell me about yourself. Please, go on."
Sam swallowed, an angry red mark forming on his wrist, which he was still scratching furiously underneath the table. "I- Well, I do a lot better in life-threatening situations than interviews, I can tell you that. If I know my, or someone else's, life depends on it, my anxiety will sort of just… evaporate. Like.. reverse stage fright. The rehearsal is horrible, but once I'm actually on stage it's good." Realizing how much he was rambling, Sam turned pink. "I'm a bit.. a lot.. of a peacemaker– when it comes to personal affairs. I don't like conflict between teammates, and in the past I, uh, I've usually been the one to solve things."
Lane is sitting in the corner with me as I realize that I forgot about this roleplay.//
(Oof.)
(Lane’s supposed dead now.)
that……………………….extremely awkward moment
(Luca and Eris look up from tanning, martinis in hand, ready for the action)
(Emi proudly examines a terrible knife as Cameron sits next to her smoking a cigar.)
(shit I'm sorry Lex)
Nah, it's fine.//
do you want me to leave?
No, of course not! I'm probs just gonna stalk and make fun of random characters, in an endearing way.//
(Jeez TT you’re all over the place with leaving today. Are you okay?)
(I'm fine, Emi, just afraid of messing things up
sorry
to both you and Lex)
(It’s okkkkkkkkkk)
You won't mess things up darlin. And even if you do, we'll help you pick it up and fix it!//

"I see," Casey said thoughtfully. "That's an interesting position you've put yourself in. Now, Sam, you do understand it is very possible you would die on this mission, correct? Tell me how you feel about that." Casey leaned back in her chair.
Hesitation flickered briefly across his features– should he tell the truth? "To be honest, I don't really mind the idea of death. That's not to say that I'll– that I'll put myself in stupid situations no matter the risk, obviously, but I'm not scared of dying." I used to want it.
"For your sake and mine, that's a good thing. So how did you get started in criminal activity Sam?"
(Sorry my answer's so short wow)
(dw about it)
Sam swallowed, the pain on his wrist beginning to spread further down his hand. "Junior year of high school. I already knew how to hack, I'd been interest in computers since sixth grade. A kid tried to alter the report cards to give Julie and I bad marks, I hacked his computer first. After that, I sort of became addicted. Discovered how corrupt the government was. Julie and I began disrupting events for fun. That's about it." He left out one important fact, one that he would likely never share.
(Im deceased. The casual "so criminal life right?" question KILLED me. Can I just be Casey when I grow up? XD )
lol)
(I think you should only be part of Casey when you grow up. If you were actually like Casey you'd be incredibly fucked up. But yeah lol I love her. sometimes.)
"Interesting," Casey said, sipping her tea. "You sound like you're close with your sister. Do you feel confident in your ability to keep a secret?" Casey was relaxed, her voice calm.
"Definitely." Of all the questions she'd asked, he was the most sure of this answer. "I've kept many things from her before, and I'm sure she's done the same."
