Fae needed no goggles to see clearly underwater as she resurfaced next to her boyfriend.

He lifted his hands to slick his now-wet chestnut hair back, water droplets scintillating off his face.

Fae wobbled in the water, instinctively reaching out a hand to steady herself and accidentally laying it on his shoulder.

He looked over to her, and helped steady her. His cheeks were lifted in a giddy grin.

Her cheeks flushed, but she kept her hand where wit was, pulling herself a little closer to him. "You swim often?"

"No, not really," he replied, rubbing her shoulder.

Her skin tingled where he'd touched it, and she almost blushed just thinking about her bare back and stomach, not to mention the expanse of vulnerable skin between her collarbone and where her bikini top began. "I swim quite often, I like it. Ever been scuba diving. They were very close now.

He squeezed his eyes shut for a few seconds, just to re-set the difficult boundary betwene self control and wild instinct. "Yeah." He answered blankly, not really registering her question. His responses were mostly on autopilot now.

She swallowed, feeling the tension between them. She was unsure whether it was good or not, for now. Her eyes flickered back to his chest.

The muscles around his adam's apple tensed.

She felt a twinge of fear, but most of it was lost behind the roaring in her ears. Taking a deep breath, she pushed herself a little farther away.

He relaxed a little more then, "What kind of fish live in this lake?"

"A few different types of salmon, I think. Do you fish?""

"I used to," he answered, brushing droplets of his eyelashes.

"As you saw a few days ago, I've never fished in ,y life.", she joked, trying to lighten the mood. "I wear that geode you gave me as a necklace every day."

His smile leapt back. "You do?"

She smiled shyly, the freckled on her face standing out. "Of course! I love it!"

"Awe..!" He inhaled, pecking a kiss to her cheek.

Fae's smile grew a little wider and she tentatively came closer again. "It's gorgeous."

He opened up his arms to her, "I'm so happy you liked that,"

Slightly hesitant, she came forward, leaning against him but supporting most of her weight on her own. "It's what every girl dreams of. Actually, scratch that, that's you."

His voice softened, "Me~?"

She rested her hands against his chest, looking up at him with affection blooming in her eyes. "Of course."

He took one of her hands, because it made his heart leap to his throat.

Her heart hammered away in her chest. "Can you tell that I love you?"

"Very… very much." He struggled.

Stabilizing herself with a hand on each of his shoulders, she pushed herself up enough to press her lips firmly against his. "Good.", she murmured into him.

He cupped his palms around her cheeks in wholehearted acceptance.

She let her lips part ever so slightly, giving herself up to him wholy.

oh. "Fae—" his laugh faltered, but his conflicting mindsets shut himself up by kissing back.
