Barry's teasing words died in his mouth. "Oh…." Warmth filled him from head to toe, his heart swelling within his chest like a bird ready to burst into song. "Kasey…." At that moment, his smile was so bright, so full of life, that it rivalled the sun.
The image stopped and disappeared as Kasey opened her eyes. Her smile grew as she saw Barry’s, and she giggled slightly.
“Does that work for you?” she asked softly, teasing him back.
Barry was left speechless, staring at his miracle of a girlfriend with widened eyes.
Kasey grinned and laughed lightly at the look on his face. “Barr, c’mon. Don’t make me get you to come back down to earth myself.”
Heat and colour rushed to his face, which he promptly buried in her shoulder. "Sorry…" he mumbled, flustered and embarrassed."
“It’s fine,” Kasey chuckled, kissing his head. “Do you want to do anything else? Maybe you could read to me this time?”
"Yeah, sounds good," he answered, before leaning forward. "Or… I could kiss you breathless. Or both. Up to you."
Kasey blinked as her face turned bright red, and she gasped at him for a moment. “Oh… I mean… Oh…”
A lopsided grin formed immediately on his chapped lips. "Which will it be, hm?"
“Uh… Hm…” Kasey hummed, her gaze flicking quickly over his face. She bit her lip as she leaned forward slightly. “Um. Both.”
"Say no more."
And suddenly, he was crashing up against her, tangling his hands in her hair, drawing her down in a charged kiss.
Kasey gasped slightly before kissing him back. She let her fingers tangle themselves in his hair, enjoying the way it got heated quickly.
Barry, though he took care, began to ravage her mouth, leaving no room for her to think. Adrenaline coursed through him while ecstasy shot through his veins, his teeth tugging lightly at her bottom lip.
Kasey let out a low sound, flames quickly growing in her chest and her stomach. Gosh, what was he doing to her? What happened to that shy girl who wouldn’t have thought of doing this in her wildest dreams?
Barry opened his mind to her, made his intentions completely clear so as not to frighten Kasey as he slid her off his lap and lowered her onto the ground, pinning her down before continuing to kiss her.
Even though she had known what he was going to do, it still sent a surprised shiver down her spine when he pinned her down. Her arms wrapped around his neck, pulling him down closer. She could hardly think with the intensity of the kiss clouding her mind, she didn’t care much at this point. This was… nice.
Barry’s mouth was hot on hers, hungry, but never straying from the boundaries they’d set. Every tiny sound she made only encouraged him to kiss her harder, soft groans escaping from the back of his throat.
Kasey flushed harder when he groaned into the kiss. She took his lower lip between her lips, teasing him. That was as far as she would go this time; she was enjoying how he was leading this.
He inhaled sharply, pulling back for a split second before he was crushing his mouth against hers again. Again, he opened his mind, but not to tell Kasey his intentions. Instead, he showed her everything he was feeling right then, the ecstasy, the exhilaration.
Woah… Holy— Woah…
Kasey felt her heart skip a beat at the intensity of his emotions. She never really felt emotions before — that was more of an empath’s thing — but they were so strong that she couldn’t help but feel them. She wondered if she could send hers…
The walls around her mind fell, so she could hear every thought and every feeling flowing through Barry’s mind. Her own thoughts drifted to how she felt, what her emotions were, as she transmitted to him. If this worked, they would probably be more connected than they had ever been before.
Barry felt a click, as if something was unlocking inside him, and suddenly, the contents of Kasey’s mind came crashing into his. His eyes flew open in surprise, heart stumbling over a few beats.
Kasey?
Kasey cringed slightly. She hadn’t meant to send all of that…
Sorry… That was a lot more than I meant to transmit to you…
Why on earth are you apologizing?
Barry bit down gently on her lower lip, fingers disentangling themselves from her hair to trace her jawline.
Kasey let out a soft sound at the feeling of his teeth on her lip, and she relaxed again.
I just meant to send you what I was feeling. Instead, I think you got everything in my mind…
I understand that, but there’s no reason to apologize, love, it was a heartening experience.
Finally, Barry pulled away, his chest heaving.
Kasey sucked in a breath when he pulled away, trying to catch her breath with her eyes still closed. Her heart was still pounding wildly as blood rushed through her veins.
He gave a weak, crooked grin, inhaling deeply. “I hope that was to your satisfaction, love~”
Kasey opened her eyes slowly and raised her eyebrows at him. “What do you think?” she asked breathlessly.
His grin was devastating, as was his messy, ruffled hair. “Good. I guess I have to let you up now, don’t I?”
(Devastating?)
"That would probably be good, yeah," Kasey agreed with a soft chuckle.
