(Aksjdh finally a snow day)
She was careful with his contact, making sure to shift every now and then. “Everything.”
(;u;)
“Everything?” Tyler asked quietly. The early months after he had left were very foggy and hard to remember.
“Everything you can remember,” she corrected herself quietly, taking a third apple piece.
Tyler nodded a little, thinking about what he would tell her, and the things he wouldn’t.
(Tylerrr)
“So…?” she prompted gently, keeping her eyes on him and forcing herself to swallow another bite.
“Yeah..well..I got there after like..three days. Didn’t have any money or somewhere to stay…” He trailed off, trying to remember more.
She remained silent, listening to his every word.
"That's when I got this.." He said, showing her the long scar on his arm. "Not really sure how..I can't remember much from the first couple days."
Macha reached out hesitantly, pulling up her own sleeve and putting her arm next to his. A scar of her own mirrored his almost perfectly.
"I'm sorry.." Tyler murmured, pulling her sleeve back down gently.
“Continue the story,” she said quietly, resting her head on his shoulder.
"I found a cheap apartment. Got a job at a small bookstore..you would have loved it.." He continued, leaving out the breakdowns and sleepless nights.
(Aw)
“But how were you feeling?” she persisted gently. “And don’t say fine. ‘Fine’ is always a lie.”
"It was horrible..I wanted to come back..but I couldn't.." He said quietly.
She found his hand, squeezed it comfortingly. “Did you sleep? Did you eat?”
"No. I didn't sleep, not for the first couple months..and I did eat, not a lot, but I did." Tyler squeezed her hand back gently, sighing.
“I’m sorry..” she whispered, raising his hand to her lips in a comforting kiss.
"What about you? How are your classes? How have you been?" He asked in turn.
“I slipped for the first month or so… my professors were all very understanding. I managed to get my grades up quickly, though… mentally I wasn’t….. Aren’t…. great.” Macha’s eyes darted away.
"I'm sorry..really. I should never have left you.." Tyler replied quietly, his hand fidgeting with the hem of his shirt.
“You forgot or you would have come back sooner…” she murmured, but was it true? “It’s fine.”
(flashback to a few posts ago when Macha said that ‘fine’ was always a lie)
"Of course I would have..And don’t say fine. ‘Fine’ is always a lie." He said, quoting her from earlier.

Macha fell silent for another few seconds.
“Yeah. It is.”
"Would you be better off If I had stayed away?" Tyler asked, dreading her answer.
"No. For the love of god, never say that to me again." She was gripping his hand as if it was the only thing keeping her anchored in the present. "Just promise me that the only reason you'll ever leave is because you don't love me anymore. I would never keep you here if you didn't–"
"I will never stop loving you, not for a second. And I won't leave..unless you want me too.." He replied, holding on just as tight.
"Never," she said fiercely, "It's just– It's going to take me a while to start healing. Because– yeah."
"I understand..I'll always be here if you need anything." Tyler responded, looking down at her.
"And I'll be here for you…… I don't want to make this all about me." Macha still wouldn't look him in the eye, but kept hold of his hand.
"But it is all about you. I'm the one who left." Tyler replied sadly.
