(Okay.)
"Good luck with that," Peter called after him.
(Okay.)
"Good luck with that," Peter called after him.
He waved a good-bye.
Do you want to switch perspectives to jane?)
(Alright. What should she do?)
John could letter her, she could wander around his house and (maybe read his personal affects)..
(Okay.)
Jane walked through all of the magnificent rooms in John's house, looking at everything she possibly could.
Jonathan's cat trailed right behind her. She could tell the furry creature missed it's master, the way it would sleep on John's posessions and rub his face all over them.
"Oh," Jane said, kneeling down beside the cat to stroke it's fur. "You miss John too, don't you?"
"Mau," the cat replied, rolling over on his back.
She smiled and ran her fingers over its stomach. "Well, you're not the only one."
The cat waved her hand away from its belly with a set of claws.
Jane blinked and withdrew. "What's the matter?"
Of course the cat didn't answer. Simply licked his paw and stood up.
Somebody knocked on the front door.
Jane stood and went to the door. She opened it slightly. "Hello?"
A young man in a dark blue Queen's Ranger coat peered back. "Is… Lieutenant André present..?"
She opened the door more. "No. He left this morning. Can I help you?"
The commander became very quiet for a long time, just staring.
(I don’t know what to do.. sorry)
She opened the door more. "No. He left this morning. Can I help you?"
"Well," the man scratched his temple. "He asked me to come here…"
Then I'll add on to my last post so you have something to go off )
He raised his head. "We're posing an attack, a secret.. Attack, in the morning," Bailey slurred.
(thanks)
George's head snapped up. This was not good. A soldier spilling secrets? Vital military secrets? He quickly tried to change the subject before he or anyone lese heard too much, "There's nice weather today, isn't there?"
His eyes wandered up to the bartender
"I… It was.. Nice, actually." He rubbed his nose, "I never really think 'bout it."
The bartender nodded anxiously. “Yeah. Listen, why don’t you go home and get a bit of sleep, yeah?”
"I don't have one no more," he laughed. "Lost it two days ago. Didn't want me killin' myself innit, and couldn't pay the debts, y'knows, so.." Bailey wiped sweat from his brow.
Killing myself… oh.. George felt a pang in his chest. Before he could fully register what he was saying, he opened his mouth and made an offer. “Come to my place, then, there’s plenty of room.*
Bailey squinted. "With all due respect, you don't know me."
She opened the door more. "No. He left this morning. Can I help you?"
"Well," the man scratched his temple. "He asked me to come here…"
"It is awfully chilly out, why don't you come in?" she suggested, opening the door wider for him.
Bailey squinted. "With all due respect, you don't know me."
George have a slight shrug in response. “With all due respect, you’re drunk. And without a home. That’s not a good combination.”
He dipped his head to Jane, "Thank you, ma'am," he quickly stepped inside out of the cold.
Bailey glanced sideways for a moment, "I guess you're right, then.."
He dipped his head to Jane, "Thank you, ma'am," he quickly stepped inside out of the cold.
"Is there anything I can help you with?" she asked politely.
"Well, um, there's a document I need from him, he said he'd give it to me here," he replied.
