"You.." Cass started, grinning slightly as he continued to push Damian.

Damian laughed and got up, flicking Cass in the face with his tail as he padded off.

Cass laughed and jumped up, running after Damian and jumping on his back "Ha!" He yelled triumphantly.

Damian stopped then broke into a run. Hurtling himself through the trees he ran as fast as he could, weaving in and out of the trees.

"Wahoo!!" Cass yelled, grinning as he held onto Damian's fur.

Damian swerved and weaved through the trees as he ran. "You're no real wolf rider!" he said laughing

"Yeah I am," Cass protested, smiling madly as he continued to hold onto Damian's fur.

Damian swung around a tree and ran the other way before doing it again.

Cass almost fell off and he grinned, holding onto Damian with one hand "Little easier on the corners." He said.

"Nope!" yelled Damian as he skidded round another corner.

"Fine," He yelled happily, grabbing Damian's fur tighter and swinging himself onto his back.

Damian ran faster pushing himself to the limit, "I'll shake you yet!" he growled as he swerved and skidded down hills and generally tried to make Cass fall.

"You can try.." Cass yelled, wrapping his arms around Damian's neck and hooking his legs around his chest so he wouldn't fall off.

Damian hads gone his fastest and tried every trick in the book before finally slowing at the top of a cliff and sitting down on his haunches, panting.

"Ha, I won." He said triumphantly, jumping off of Damian's back and sitting next to him.

"Yeah" panted Damian lying down, "You did…"

Cass laid on his back and looked at the sky, grinning.

"Damian felt Cass' weight on him and tensed a little. but forced himself to chill as he watched the moon rise..

"So, is it hard to become a Rider?" Cass asked, rolling off of Damian's back and onto the ground next to him.

"You have to have a bonded first" said Damian, "And It can't just be anyone, either"

"Oh.." Cass went quiet as he looked back up at the sky, putting his arms behind his head and closing his eyes.

Damian yawned as he stumbled into place and met up with a full grown halfblood to get back to the gate. he mounted the swift Luna and they moved to the front of the pack with two more Solaris riders carrying the twins. A couple more Riders had Ryker and Lakin, and a riderless wolf had Cassian. The howl came and the pack set out, all the Nebulis surged ahead and opened portals straight to the compound, and several more Nebulis surged forward to get Damian, Conta, Cassian, the twins, Lakin, and Ryker as well as All the Nebulis pairs into the gate with several nightshade following.

Cassian glanced at his sister before focusing back on his Wolf. Lakin and Ryker smiled and rode easily as they looked around at the other Wolves.

"The nebulis quickly worked up the energy needed to open the gate and Conta grabbed Damian's hand, "Call him NOW!" he said knowing this opening wouldn't last long.

Skye and Sirus as well as some of Sirus' guards waited at the old ruins, "Skye are you sure this is where we need to be?" asked Sirus worriedly,
"It has to be!" said Skye,

Cass stood by Damian, watching the surroundings carefully. Ryker set Lakin on his shoulders before going to the door, standing guard.

Conta pulled Damian mentally into the rift, and Damian tried not to shake with fear. "Skye?"

Skye suddenly froze and then crouched shifting to face the gate. "I hear you Damian!" he mind called before throwing his Aura into the mix, anchoring it on the other side. Sirus watched as a huge portal opened in the archway, he Howled and led the charge through to the other side to help. he saw several Nebulis and their Riders holding the portal open and a team of two pairs holding a portal open through which Wolves and Riders alike streamed through. all of them headed for the portal, He quickly had his men go back through to keep order on the other side as he went to his son and Conta who was holding him, "Damian!" he took the boy from the rider and Conta gave him a smile, "This boy is very brave" He said before passing out on his bonded's back.

Ryker rushed through, Lakin still on his shoulders. Cass followed quickly, smiling and standing around doing nothing on the other side.

Conta's Bonded, and Sirus ran through last of all and the portal began to collapse as the nebulis ran through. Finally everyone got through safe and sound. One of the Solaris riders Started blasting the Arch, And several other wolves joined in until the whole thing collapsed. "Now," said the Rider who started it, "Now they cannot get to us" he said, exhausted and relieved.
