I can start, and you can be your characters and when bailey isnt around them, you can be environment/strangers, people who might try to help )
Henry eyed him narrowly. He thought about how much Jane needed a firm, military-like man to keep her on the ground. "Very well. You have my blessing."

John contained the explosion of happiness, the way it made his heart start to race. "Thank you, sir.. Thank you so much," he dipped his head.
Henry nodded. He reached out his hand to shake. "Treat her well."

Bailey resigned himself to the tavern, on a Saturday evening. Always in this place the hopeless men washed up, and so suiting to find himself here.
The bartender looked up as he entered, a flicker of sympathy passing under his expression at the sight of the evidently exhausted man. "What'll it be?"
He drew a controlled breath. Oh, the look on Jane's face when he got to tell her. "I will, sir. You have my word,"
Henry nodded and looked at the door. "She's probably in the room across the hall – my study."
"Whiskey," the man sighed, unbuttoning thw cuffs of his brown coat.
The bartender nodded and got to work preparing the drink, taking one long look at the man and deciding that it'd be free for him.
"Okay, sir." John dipped his head, and hurried that way. "Jane?"
Bailey rubbed slow circles against his temples.
He slid the drink across the bar top, holding up his hand. "On the house."
"Okay, sir." John dipped his head, and hurried that way. "Jane?"
Jane was sitting in her father's chair. When she head John calling her name, she stood and made her way around his desk. "John, I'm in here," she said, opening the door and looking at him. "What did he say?" she asked quietly.
He slid the drink across the bar top, holding up his hand. "On the house."
"Thank you," Bailey exhaled, and began to chug his beverage.
John rest his hands on her shoulders, "He gave us the blessing," he spoke quietly, abundant joy leaping across his face.
She stared at him for a moment, completely still. Then she leaped into motion all at once, resisting John's grip on her shoulders. "Oh, John! John!" she cried excitedly, leaning forward to kiss him happily.
“No problem,” the bartender returned evenly.
"Mm!" John gasped briefly, tightly wrapping his arms around his new fiancée.
Bailey pushed it back when he was done nearly inhaling his glass. "Another."
The bartender blinked at the empty glass, refilling it without a word.
"Mm!" John gasped briefly, tightly wrapping his arms around his new fiancée.
Jane laughed and broke the kiss for a moment. "We're actually going to get married… I can't believe it."
Bailey did the same, trying his best to down it without hesitation. Yes, he gagged a little, but forced it all down and predictably requested another. Enougb to now spark concern in the stranger.
"I expected nothing less," André purred.
"I expected nothing less," André purred.
She tickled under his chin. "What did you tell him, my sir?"
"An infatuation with military is the jealousy of the populace." He winked.
She beamed and kissed him again. "I love you."
The bartender, who’s name was George, looked on with worry. “Sir..?” he tried, licking his lips nervously. “Are you alright?”
