After a moment, he pulled back and grabbed Tyler by the shoulders. “Where on earth have you been??”
After a moment, he pulled back and grabbed Tyler by the shoulders. “Where on earth have you been??”
How much does he know about what happened? Tyler asked Macha before answering Rafael. "I was in a city, about five hours from here, not remembering how to get back or how I got there in the first place.." He said quietly.
Almost everything, she responded, leaning one shoulder against the wall.
Rafael fell silent for several seconds. “I’m sorry, man. How have you been??”
Almost?
"Not great..but I'm back..to stay..so.." He glanced over at Macha.
I didn’t go into depth about the demon.
Rafael beamed, clapping his friend on the shoulder. “I still can’t believe you’re actually here…” He moved to wipe his wet cheeks.
Okay..thank you.. Tyler replied, his eyes still on Macha. "Yeah. Me neither.."
She's never going to forgive me for this..
Rafael was about to say more, when suddenly, his phone went off. He ignored it, but immediately after, the ringtone began to play. Frowning, the young man picked it up and answered, shooting Tyler and Macha apologetic looks.
“Oh— hey, Morrigan. Yeah, she’s fine. Uh— something came up. To say the least. No, I think we’re good. Sorry. Bye.”
He bit his lip sheepishly. “Sorry about that… I sort of panicked when you didn’t show up and texted Morrigan to ask if she knew where you were. Ever since….. you know…. I’ve been super…”
“Overprotective?” Macha suggested.
Tyler focused his eyes on the corner of the room, staying silent while they talked. He didn’t know who they were talking about and tried to remember if he had ever met Morrigan.
(G’morning)
Rafael sighed. “Sorry.” He turned to Tyler, gesturing towards the living room. “Come, lets all sit, and you can fill us in on everything.”
(How are you?)
“Oh…okay..” Tyler replied quietly, glancing back up at them.
(Like shit
You?)
Macha took hold of his hand and lead him slowly to the living room. She suddenly stopped in her tracks, staring at the sheet and pillow that was strewn over the couch. “I’m so sorry—“ Moving to clean it up, he glanced apologetically up at them. “I couldn’t— it hurt too much to sleep in our bed last night.”
(Same. Hope you feel better :)
Tyler felt a fresh wave of guilt wash over him and wrapped his arms around Macha, pulling her into a hug. “I’m sorry..” He murmured.
(Same to you)
“It’s fine,” she told him quietly, even though it wasn’t. “Come, sit. Do you two want anything to eat or drink?”
“When was the last time you’ve eaten?” Tyler asked her instead, a question that he probably had no right to ask but he did anyway.
Macha went silent for a few seconds. After a pause, she cleared her throat. “Breakfast yesterday. Do you two want anything to eat or drink?”
“Macha…You need to eat..” He said, standing up and taking her hand.
She pulled away and walked into the kitchen before he could compel her to do anything else. Rafael sighed, gesturing to the arm chair for Tyler to sit. “You have to convince her bit by bit. Small snacks. Or else she might starve herself to death.”
Tyler stared after her sadly, sitting down a minute later. It's never been this bad before..and it's my fault.. He thought as he sat there, hands twisting nervously in his lap.
Rafael murmured something in Spanish before clearing his throat. “When did you get back in town?”
"Only a couple of hours ago.." Tyler replied, not looking at either of them.
“Hey, hermano.” Rafael leaned over to tap his knee. “It’s okay. I’m not mad. You can look at me.”
"You should be mad.." Tyler muttered, not looking up.
“Well, I’m not.”
Over in the kitchen, Macha was slicing a shiny red apple into pieces, trying to sort out her spinning thoughts.
"Okay.." Tyler replied weakly, glancing over at Macha for a moment.
Macha dusted cinnamon and nutmeg over the apple slices before carrying them back to the boy’s. She handed a glass of water to both after another short trip.
"Thank you darling, but i'm not eating unless you do." He said, shifting a little so he was facing her.
Macha bit the inside of her cheek and said nothing, sitting next to him. Rafael gave Tyler a tiny, encouraging nod.
“Raf, how was work?” she asked finally, folding her hands in her lap.
Tyler stayed silent, looking from Macha to Rafael.
(sorry this is crap i'm kinda in a hurry)
(Dw about it)
