"Fine, I'll 'deal with it.'"
"Fine, I'll 'deal with it.'"
Dalton nodded, "So, this place would make a fun hide out."
"I completely agree, we can use it to help train our abilities too!" Cicada added the second part without any thought. She never wanted to go through hurting someone because she couldn't control herself again. More like she couldn't.
Dalton thought on this for a moment, "Actually… that's… not a bad idea,"
Cicada gave him a side grin, "I have great ideas excuse you. So this'll be our little hideout?"
"Yeah, as long as we don't find something too spooky down here,"
"Like spiders," Cicada shuddered slightly at the thought.
"No, like dragons, goblins, man eating three headed creatures,"
"Oh yeah, but we could probably handle those."
"We… well, I, could handle spiders too,"
"Yeah, your on spider duty then!"
"Fine… Who's the scary cat now?"
"I am not scared!" Cicada yelled defensively.
"Are too!" he chuckled, "Wait, hold still, there's a spider on your foot!"
Cicada made no movements as she lit her entire foot on fire before shaking her foot to put it out. She then looked to Dalton with a worried face, "Is it dead?"
"Uh, no, it's crawling up your leg,"
Cicada raised an eyebrow as this time she lit her whole leg on fire before shaking it out, "Now?"
"No, ahh! It's getting away! It's probably gonna get you in your sleep,"
Cicada walked up to him, "You were pulling my leg, any spider would be dead by now."
"Yeah, I am. There was no spider,"
Cicada still let out a sigh of relief, "Thank god. Also I hate you."
"That's okay, I hate me too!"
Cicada looked him dead in the eyes, "Never say that again."
"What, that there's a spidy or that I hate myself?"
"Either," Cicada said in a commanding tone.
"Well, I'm not the biggest fan of myself, what are you going to do?"
"Make you become a fan of yourself. No one should hate themselves." Hypocrite.
"Well, I do. It might suck for you but I hate myself." After what he did, he had developed depression. Voices in his head, self hatred, self harm, the whole bit.
"Yeah, a year with me and that'll turn around," Cicada said with a false confidence. She felt her old mask slip back on like a glove, to hide the girl hiding behind. The one with the mask was confident and held power within and over others. The one inside was scared constantly, that she was going to mess something up and hurt everyone close to her.
"Good luck with that," he sighed and suck to the ground against the wall.
