"Nice to meet you Peter." He answered. "I guess we are one of the rooms of 3 and our other roommate isn't here yet so either of the beds are up for grabs." Nixon explained opening his bag to unpack a few things.
"Yeah" peter said then put his stuff down on a bed.
Cicada grinned over at him, "Awww, is someone a little shy?"
He blushed a little, he was looking at her but refused to look her in the eyes. He wondered if people noticed that, they never said anything if they did. "No," he mumbled.
"I couldn't hear you," Cicada sing songed as she was attempting to make eye contact. That was one of the best ways to show dominance, but this boy made none. She must be like really dominating right now.
No he just didn't want to hurt her if he got too nervous, "I said no!" He nearly shouted before quieting again, "I'm not shy,"
Cicada chuckled slightly, "Okay. Okay. I was teasing you Jesus."
"I'm not Jesus," he met her eyes for a moment, "I'm Datlon,"

Cicada laughed joyfully, "Well that's apparent."
He smiled a little, "Sorry, that was dumb,"
Cicada smiled back, "Just a little, but it's whatever."
"It's whatever, huh?" Dalton smiled a little more, "That makes a lot of sense,"
"Oh be quiet," Cicada stuck her tongue out at him before pulling out a stick of gum.
"So what do we even do until classes start?" He let his eyes slip away from her's.
"I have no idea, when do classes start?" Cicada noticed the eye slip.
"Tomorrow I think… Maybe?" He didn't want to hurt her and she never asked why he was here so she just saw it as a kid with eye contact problems as most people did.
"Well whatever," Cicada grew up with a variety of different people, some needed to be helped, others would come to you on their own, "Maybe we should go explore the school."
"Maybe… that's a fair plan."
Cicada hopped up off the bed and headed towards the door, "Then come on let's go."
He stood up and brushed himself off, "Let's. I'm right behind you,"
Cicada nodded and walked out the door. She looked both ways of the hall before picking a direction and heading that way, "So where do you want to see?"
"I don't really know. I'd prefer to not be in this school at all,"
"Yeah, well we're stuck here now. So I'm going to find the library and if you want to find some place let me know."
"The library it is I guess. That's where they kept the fun stuff in Harry Potter too,"
"Like books," Cicada said walking to where she thought the library was, "Maybe we'll run into some other students along the way."
"Maybe we wi– Look! A spider!" Dalton broke his sentence and ran after a large spider. He picked it up and looked it in the eyes, "Hey, calm down. You're safe with me," Instantly, the spider relaxed in his hands like he understood.
Cicada watched him with curiosity, from a safety of fifteen feet away. She shouted to him, "So are you like an animal charmer?"
"No," he turned around and walked back over by her, "I'm a life charmer," he smiled a little at his new friend. "It's called compulsion, I can make anything alive do whatever I say,"
Cicada was slowly backing away from Dalton and the spider. She gave the spider a wary look, "That's nice. Now can you move the spider away from me."
"He won't hurt you, he's calm," he looked up at her, "If you don't stop being weird about my spider I'll make you calm too,"
"Nope, that spider is disgusting and I want it gone," she shakily lit her hand on fire, "If you don't get rid of it I will."
The fire reflected in the spider's eyes and it moved away, "Hey! You're scaring him," He looked her in the eyes, "Stop that,"
