Griffin’s anger surged. “We are armed and you are not. Tell us.”, he growled.

He shook his head.

Griffin squeezed his eyes shut and pressed the gun against his father’s leg, unsure if he was bluffing or not. “You have fifteen seconds.”

Haile looked down at the gun. He remained silent.

If Griffin doesn't shoot him, I will. Eli thought to himself.

Shootikg him would make me an equally as bad person as him, since I would be hurting someone to get what I want, wouldn’t it? Griffin hesitated.

Haile gave Griffin a taunting, derisive stare.

Eli groaned, taking the gun from Griffin. "Fine. I'll do it." He aimed at Haile's leg and shot.

Haile let out a low hiss. "You little sh*t." He kicked Eli in the shin with his good leg.

Griffin pulled Eli away, inwardly cursing himself. “Ready to spill yet?”

Eli stumbled back slightly, smirking at the older man. "That's what you f** get."

Haile growled threateningly. "I'm not telling your little rescue gang anything until you untie me."

Eli threateningly held up the gun again. "You better tell us everything, or another bullet is going right through your arm."

“That’s never happening.”, Griffin promised.

Haile pursed his lips. "Who do you want to know next?"

“Lia.”

Haile stared at her. "She wanted to come here."

Griffin whirled around to face Lia. “What?!”

"She wanted to come here. It wasn't advertised as what it was, obviously. She thought it was a performing school."

"I never knew that I signed up for this hell," Lia spat. "No one told me what I would be going through."

Haile sneered. “And that’s why you should read the fine print.”

"Hey, back off," Jace said.

“A bit difficult, considering I’m chained up. Now, if you set me free..”

"I said we'll think about it. And I'm not sure everyone's done with questioning. So, you'll have to wait." Jace answered.
