Eleanor stood up. “What’s going on?”
Eleanor stood up. “What’s going on?”
"There were these things that broke into the school. They-" Jamie started, before the doors broke down, and all anyone could see was black.
//woah what
Leon was stricken with fear. He dropped his book and drew closer to Jamie, keen on getting as much information as he could.
“What’s happening?” Eleanor asked, trying to stay calm. “Did the lights go out?”
"I don't… know?" Leon shouted, obviously concerned.
“Who’s by the door? Try and hit the switch!” She shouted.
They were interrupted by the sound of the librarian screaming. People all around the room started to scream, being attacked by something silent and able to see in the dark.
Eleanor ducked under a table, feeling her way across the room. She had no idea where the creatures were, but groups would no doubt be easier to get out of from here. Moving blindly, she bumped into someone //aka you two.
Leon nearly cried out when Eleanor ran into him, but he knew better. He knew that the creatures would find him if he was loud.
“Hello?” She asked. “Who is this?”
Jamie screamed and finally the library was surrounded in silence.
"Leon," he whispered.
“I’m Eleanor. Wait, who was that? What happened?” She asked, following the sound of Jamie’s scream.
"Jamie again," Leon replied, "Stay by me. I'm not sure we can make it alone." He got to the floor to crawl around. He preferred to not stumble in the dark.
Eleanor followed him hesitantly.
Annora stayed seated quietly so as not to draw attention to herself.
Hugo had hidden away from these things under the computers, he crawled out, quickly, efficiently, silently, until he felt a few presences beside him.
"Who's there?" He whispered, barely audible. The presences felt human enough.
(Who's he talking to?)
Leon ran into one of the creatures, and he screamed when it reacted violently. He was struck in the side by something. A tooth? A claw? He wasn't sure, but his swift reaction caused the angle of the blow to throw him across the room.
"I'm alright!" he called out before frantically crawling into an empty gap in a bookshelf.
Sam was in detention when the lights went out. They grinned, thinking that it had been just an ordinary prank, and a perfect escape from detention. Heading to the library, they crouched under the computer desk. "None of your business," they quietly snapped at the person who asked. "Now shut up, or we'll get caught by Ms. Lerian!"
“Leon?” Eleanor called, hearing him get thrown. She scrambled away from something moving in the dark, backing up against a wall. She found a bean bag chair and crawled behind it, hoping to hide.
Lucille hid under the table, she was pretty sure she was bleeding, part of her forearm was stinging, the stinging that would happen when you’re bleeding. She accidentally bumped her head as well.
"I could say the same." Hugo whispered, approaching a safer spot with inaudible silence.
Leon clutched his side. It hurt quite a lot, though he was pretty sure it wasn't fatal. He hoped they couldn't smell blood.
Sam smiled, feeling the thrill of breaking the rules. (They still think that it's a normal prank, not a monster attack)
Annora felt someone approaching her. "Who's there?" She asked in a voice barely over a whisper.
(I'm guessing their way out is going to be magic eventually?)
Lucille heard screams, it was unsettling. The darkness that kept her from seeing anything wasn’t helping either.
"Hello?" Hugo whispered, SILENTLY. (Since apparently I have to stress that more.)
