Paige blushed and nodded. "Yes."

“Great, off we go then.” Colton started the car and set off.

Paige's fingers ran over the door. "Did it take you long this morning to fix her up?" She didn't want him to have spent too much time on this car just for her.

“Not really,” Colton replied, “Maybe half an hour of cleaning?”

She nodded. "It looks like it took a lot longer than that."

“It’s fine. I didn’t mind because I knew I’d be riding with you.” Colton grinned.

She looked over at him shyly. "You really like me that much?"

Colton nodded, “Yup. I’m glad I met you, Paige, honestly.”

"Do you remember how we met?" she asked with a small laugh.

“You bumping into me in the hallway,” Colton replied quickly, “I could never forget that.”

"Someone stepped on my hand," she said with a sniff, like it still hurt.

“I’m sorry about that.” He said sincerely.

"You didn't do it," she replied, slightly confused.

“Still, no one should step on your hand.” Colton replied.

"It was my fault for running into you in the first place."

“I shouldn’t have been so mean to you,”

"It's okay," she insisted.

“No, no it’s not okay,” He replied, “I shouldn’t have been mean.”

"Hey," she said, touching his shoulder gently. "It's okay."

Colton sighed, “It’s not… but whatever you say…”

Colton sighed, “It’s not… but whatever you say…”

Paige smiled reassuringly. "Please don't beat yourself up about it."

“I’ll try not too,” Colton smiled warmly back, “Promise.”

"Thank you," she replied, brushing her hair behind her ear.

It didn’t take long after that before they reached the school. Colton drove into the student car park and sighed, “Ah, welcome back to Hell 2.0.”

She looked over at him with a small smile. "It's better with you."

Colton looked back to her and smiled flirtatiously, "That it is." He winked before hopping out the car and walked round to open her door for her.
