"Clearly." Eris said with wide teasing grin. "I wouldn't have danced with you if you didn't."
"Clearly." Eris said with wide teasing grin. "I wouldn't have danced with you if you didn't."
Midnight laughed some more. "Really?"
Eris shrugged, "Who wants to dance with someone who has the charisma of a piece of cardboard?"
"Of course," he smirked, "It takes a large amount of charisma to suavely whisk pretty girls out on the dance floor."
"So that's what I'm missing?", she whispers under her breath.
Eris blushed but rolled her eyes at Dom instead of answering. She plopped herself down next to Midnight, her large dark eyes twinkling. "Charisma is mostly confidence. Once you believe in yourself, you've got it in the bag."
"I don't know…", Midnight answered, looking distant.
"Or," said Dominic, "fake it till you make it. Works for me whenever I need it to."
Eris saluted Dom's statement by raising her cup of juice. "Amen."
Dominic raised his own cup. "Raise your glass to the four of us. Tomorrow they'll be more of uuuuuus. Telling the story of tonight. The story of tonight." He lowered his plastic cup. "Hmm, I need some more beer." He walked over to the table. "Rootbeer." he called behind him. "I hate the real stuff" he muttered.
"You've tried alcohol?", Midnight asked. She was a little surprised, but she tried to hide it.
He raised his eyebrows. "Of course. Though," he said, "I doubt I've had had more than a half gallon my whole life." He looked up, "I don't like beer, Irish cream was all right. I used to not like red wine but I'm overcoming that." He closed his eyes, "White desert wine is the best."
"I've accidentally tried beer once… you have to be careful at parties I've learned.", Midnight responded, and forced a laugh at that memory.
He laughed, “It’s not like I go around drinking. And 99% of the time it was with my parents permission and supervision.”
Eris shrugged, "Don't look at me. I'm a bad influence when it comes to alcohol."
"Well you're legal so who cares?"
This time Eris snorted, although elegantly, she was a lady after all. "I wasn't always."
He winked, "Of course."
Moxie popped back into the party out of nowhere and gasped in mock astonishment. "Eris!"
Emi rolled her eyes over a plate of random food. “More betrayal.” She meandered off from the others to hang out near the speakers again.
"Can't a girl flirt?!" Eris called to Emi's retreating form. "My goodness. Hey Mox" She added with a grin.
Moxie smiled at her and chuckled. "Hey. How's it going?"
"We're still partying apparently. It's been like….3 weeks." Eris shrugged again
"Aaaaaww yeah!"
"So I'm still here, hi."
"Of course you are. The party envelops us all. It is ever present in our souls."
"Yeet I'm just gonna go watch vines on the couch while eating cake that is definitely stale by now."
"You do that."
"Facinating." Eris mumbled into her cup.
"Vines are good! Stale cake… maybe not." Midnight finished her Coca-Cola and walked over for some more.
