Dominic came over, breathing heavily from the dancing. He gave a whistle while wiggling his eyebrows. “Am I interrupting something?”

“Well, jee, Dominic,” Emi scruninized from near the pretzel bowl, “feel free to just ruin the awkward moment with more awkward.”

Eris slid up to Emi, grinning and also breathing hard from dancing. "I don't know Em. It was just the right amount of awkward, methinks."

Emi glanced up (down?) at Eris, grinning slightly over the rim of her cup. “Hm, I don’t think you would’ve noticed.”

"Because I was getting my freak on?" Eris laughed, doing a little shimmy to extenuate her point.

“Er, yes,” Emi said with a tone of something special in her voice.

Eris eyed her friend. "Out with it chicka."

“Sorry.” Dominic grinned. “But hey what am I here for?”
He stopped. “Oh wait.” He ran to the food and began piling chips and sweets on a plate. He came back chuckling, “Nope, not it.”

(Damn it is down. I thought I was tiny.)

Emi chuckled and popped a pretzel in her mouth. “Nah. I don’t have anything to say.”

“So I’ve got nothing to share.” sang Dominic, “No I’ve got nothing to saay.”
He stopped, “Whoops, got a little distracted there.”

"Liessssss." Eris hissed playfully. Poking Emi in the ribs.

“But..” Dominic quieted for a moment, then it burst out. “You can’t handle the truth!” he shouted.

Eris laughed. "Oh yes I can!"

He pretended to pout, and crossed his arms over his chest. “How dare you ruin my line!”

"That's what I'm here for." Eris teased, grinning like a sly cat.

He grinned, “Fair enough.”

"Who's life just got ruined?", Midnight asked, alarmed.

“What?” Dominic said, “”Not ruined. Just like…” He smiled, “thrown into havoc a little.”

"Oh. I'm sorry.", Midnight said sadly.

"It's part of my charm." Eris said shrugging, eyes alight with mischief.

"Your… charm? Like a good luck charm?", Midnight asked dumbly.

"Uh… no…charm like…why people are…attracted to me??" She smiled awkwardly, running a hand through her hair. She never had to explain that before and now it sounded super conceited and dumb.

Midnight laughed. "Sorry. I think I get it. Like charisma?"
