08:00,
Kaisa walked confidently through the halls of the 9th floor on her way to her new office. She was acutely aware that she was the youngest person on the top three floors, and would be exposed to discrimination, but held her head high anyways. SHe reached the Border Security wing and opened the doors into the lobby. The receptionist looked up.
"Are you Agent Tayvar?" Kaisa nodded. The receptionist smiled at her. "I'm Diane, do you have your ID?" Kaisa walked forward and scanned her ID card on holopad. "Excellent! Last door on the left. You have Skyview office."
Kaisa thanked her and walked through the door on her left. There were doors up and down both sides of the hallway, with the majority of them made of glass, creating an open feel to the area. At last, she reached the right office and scanned her ID once more. The door whirred softly and dematerialized, allowing her to step in, and then rematerialized behind her.
The office was large and she immediately knew it was one of the nicer offices. It was furnished in a minimalized style, and her desk overlooked the vast Capital City. Kaisa shook her head to clear it and sat down, setting down her case, ready to work. She touched a button on the side of the metal desk and the desktop whirred to life, illuminating with a soft blue light. It spoke in a computerized voice. "Welcome Agent Tayvar. Are you ready to begin?" she cleared her throat. "Yes, I am. Access the data files from the past four weeks from sector seven." "Accessing… Ready for viewing." "Thank you, dismissed."
As soon as the electronic assistant deactivated, Kaisa pulled up the holographic files into midair. She quickly scrolled through data entries until she reached a name. Jonah Simon. Invited into Valencia three weeks previously. She had met him, he was her final exam, how she would handle a situation on her own. He had since disappeared from all databases. He wasn't living anywhere, working anywhere, or in prison anywhere. He had no records at all.
She frowned and searched the name through the Securities own country-wide database. She scrolled through the results, pushing away her guilt. After all, she as just following through with her assignment. That was her job. She wasn't doing anything wrong.
There. There was a hit on the name. A facility in Gresting. Something called, The Reassignment Institute. Kaisa sighed with relief. She had found him. She checked another name, Jemma Elick and cross-referenced it with the Institute, and found that that was where she was staying too. She went through her list of missing people. All in Gresting. She felt as though a huge weight had been lifted off of her chest. Nothing was wrong. She would ask Agent Wittering what the Institue was, just to wrap up the matter. In the meantime, she had other work. She minimized the files and pulled up her upcoming assignments. A group of Outsiders was coming into Valencia in just over a week. Perfect. That was the perfect assignment to get her feet wet as a newly Badged Agent. Now all she had to do was to report to Wittering to get the authorization and begin arranging their entry.
(Hey Joy, I might Pm you later to discuss my plans so that I can hear you ideas and give mine own)
Tenley walked out of Liams room and punched a wall, yelling in anguish. She held her head and slid down the wall, tears steadily streaming down her face. A floorboard some 4-5 meters away from her creaked slowly, alerting her that someone was walking towards her with a steady gait, but she was trying to figure out a way to remove her baby brother from the programme. A warm, loving embrace brought forth another flood of tears as she realized that she wasnt alone in her grief, that her parents were also worried for his safety.
Tenley and her stepmother stayed outside Liams room for a few minutes before she stood up and told Olivia, her stepmom, that she was going to her room. She wiped her eyes, took out her laptop, and started working on her project, a special program that wod let her talk to Liam, no matter where he was.
Hours passed and Tenley eas still at her computer, fixing bugs, adding new updates etc. She got up and stretched, before deciding to go down to grab a bite. On her way down, she saw another letter in the letter holder. Grabbing it, she practically flew down the stairs and looked at it to see that it was addressed to her. It seemed like a very basic letter with no company name and no logo. The only unusual case was that there was a message written in small front under her name that read 'Please open in private'. Intrigued by the mysterious envelope, she grabbed her bagel bites and glided up the stairs to her room and locked the door.
(Okay cool. Btw I don’t know if the missing people are actually thereofnot, that depends on you, what Kaisa found could be just a cover)
(Sure)
"Ava! Breakfast is ready!" Ava's mother yelled up the stairs. Ava sighed as she shut her laptop and rubbed her eyes. She had been up all night researching Valencia. She had been doing it ever since Zara, her older sister, went there and came back different. She hadn't been able to find much on it except weird conspiracy theory websites. She opened the door to her room, walked down the hallway and went down the stairs. She sniffed the air. "Smells g-good, Mom!" She said sitting down at the table. "Look who's awake!" She said turning around with her homemade waffles. "Well more or less. You OK?" She asked. "I'm f-fine Mom." She said smiling. Her mother pursed her lips. "Well alright." She said turning back to the waffle iron. "Oh! A letter came for you." She said gesturing across the table of Ava. A letter? From who?
(Sorry it took me so long to get this up.)
(That's fine lol)
Tenley quickly opened the letter to see the ScarLis coat of arms on the front. The coat of arms itself was very beautiful with 2 ravens perched on a single tree with their wings open. A blue flame encircled the shield and single lily sat on the edge. She gasped lowly, wondering why she was contacted. She took her time studying the letter, rubbing her fingers across the smooth, cool paper. Finally, she sighed and opened the paper, reading the words. Each sentance she read made her eyes widen more and more. She saw a small dark blue plastic casing with a single button. She took it out and pressed it, making a large, holographic screen appear. A robotic voice murmured in a low , electronic voice "welcome Agent Tenley. Please set your finger on the scanner to activate your first assignment." It said. She did so and a single message beeped back at her "Infiltrate Valencia"
Ava looked over the letter. It said Read in Private on the front. Who could of sent her a letter? She didn't have many friends except for online and they were computer geeks like her. They wouldn't send her a letter. She put the letter on her chair next to her and ate her waffles.
Tenley pressed the button again and the screen closed in on itself. She leaned against her head board and sighed heavily, wishing she could turn back time

Kaisa heard the release bell and sighed with pleasure. Another productive day. In the days following her discovery of The Reassignment Institute, she had put off talking to Agent Wittering. Instead, she had thrust herself into her work, determined to work her way up the ladder. She closed her files. Just a few more days until the visitors arrived, and she was nearly done with preparations for their year.
Kaisa had just grabbed her briefcase when she heard her doorbell ding pleasantly. She frowned. Why would anyone be at her office right before the end of the workday? She composed herself quickly. "Enter!" she called, trying to look busy and quickly pulling up some files. The door dematerialized and Agent Wittering walked briskly into the room. Brian Wittering was a tall, intimidating man, with dark hair and an imposing demeanor, the exact sort of person you would have head the Security Division.
"Good evening, Agent Tayvar," he said, "I saw you haven't yet given your weekly report, so I decided to drop in and see how you were doing."
Kaisa smiled. "Good evening sir. I just have a few more details to arrange for the visitors due next week, and I wanted to submit a completed assignment."
He nodded approvingly. "Very good. I will see you in the briefing for next week in the morning then."
"Yes, you will."
Agent WIttering turned to walk to the door, and in a flash, Kaisa remembered her inquiries and stopped him. "Sir, what is The Reassignment Institute?"
He stopped dead and slowly turned around. "Where did you hear that?" he demanded harshly.
Kaisa stalled, taken aback by his reaction. "I-I was checking on my final assignment sir. I wanted to follow through, as protocol states, but I couldn't find him until I searched the database." she hesitated, wondering if she should mention the other names she had found there, but something in his eyes made her stop. "I just wanted to follow through, complete my last assignment as a trainee."
Agent Witterings shoulders relaxed slightly. "I see. I understand you feel that you were just doing your job, but in the future, I ask that you report any missing outsiders to me, is that understood? It is not that I don't trust you, but a former outsider looking into the disappearance of another outsider? Some people would find that… Disloyal. And disloyalty is taken Very, Seriously. Is that clear?"
Kaisa nodded, too afraid to speak. The threat had not escaped her, though she felt it would be unwise to show so. He looked her up and down down, and then nodded. "Very good. I will see you in the morning Agent. And I feel it is my duty to remind you that the punishment for treason is, well, let's just say that some survive longer than others, and that isn't very long. Not with the treatment and the, ah, techniques used to glean information from traitors. Goodbye."
Agent Wittering turned and strode out of the room. Kaisa collapsed into her chair, her head spinning. She was so confused. Why would he threaten her like that over a simple inquiry? She stood and gathered her things and left the building in a daze. It wasn't until she was sitting on the hovertram that she realized Agent Wittering had never answered her question about the institute. She hated herself, but she knew her conscience wouldn't allow her to let the matter go. She would find out what had happened to those people, though it may very well cost her her life.
(Damn you are an amazing writer!!!)
(Thank you!)

(Ok)
Tenley walked with her mother and brother to the main area by the airship docks. She grabbed the necklace the ScarTechs had given her and squeezed tightly. "Ease up sis! I'm only their for a year." Her younger brother, Liam, said. She could tell that he was trying to be strong for their mother and father but only she could really see how scared ye was. They walked up until the Valencian official blocked them from going any further. Then let and her family want her Liam talk to the official, have his id scanned, and then watched him go into the airship.
Whilst waving to his family. Liam realized that Tenley looked a little more tensed than usual. He smiled sadly ",that's just like her, to worry excessively about me." He said lowly to himself
Zanna was on the airship tinkering around with her currently unattached prosthetic. She had been waiting at the pick up point from the moment she had gotten a second set of instruction. Her head picked up when another passenger got on before going back to work, "Hey there."
Liam waved and set down the small, but spacious bag that he receives in the package. "Hey, I'm Liam. Who are you?" He asked
"I'm Zanna," she said reattatching the limb and holding a hand out, "Nice to meet ya."
Kaisa took a deep breath, pacing back and forth in the cockpit. Technically, there wasn't even need for a cockpit, but without it, the airship became off balance, and in the end, the design had stayed. Her uniform, while tailored to fit her perfectly, felt hot and itchy, even in the air-conditioned airship. She knew that she had to greet the newcomers, but she wasn't sure she could. The day after her talk with Agent Wittering, she had been sent on a "routine security inspection" to the solitary confinement unit, reserved for traitors. Her experience had been… enlightening. Now, she was welcoming even more people into Valencia, and to make matters worse, they were people her own age. She swallowed against the panic building in her throat and peeked down the hall. She saw two people talking in the cabin. There were three definitive people on the list, so she still had a bit of time to figure out what the hell she was going to do.
(Is Ava going to Valencia too @"Shadow Knight is terrified for The New Year!!!!! 🎆🎇🎉🎊" ?)
