"I believe so." Enyln's eyes lit up as she remembered, "yeah actually, I think we did." She pushed her dark curly hair away from her face as she spoke, "how've you been?"
"I believe so." Enyln's eyes lit up as she remembered, "yeah actually, I think we did." She pushed her dark curly hair away from her face as she spoke, "how've you been?"
He leaned over the counter, clearly, she had changed a lot and for the better. He would have remembered going to school with someone so pretty. "Pretty good," he smiled, "And you?"
"I've been good." She offered a kind smile. "How's working here?" She spared a small look around the place. Knowing full well she'd never last in such a slow environment.
"I like helping out the residents and working with them. They can be fun even if they don't remember my name." He chuckled, "I like the pace of things,"
"The pace is," Enyln tilted her head ever so slightly, "slow." She stated matter-of-factly. "Though I suppose it could be calming." She shrugged.
"It is. I feel like when my life is too fast, coming here makes it better somehow? Like it takes the stress away." He nodded. He was a patient man so it was a good place for him.
"Takes the stress away?" Enyln laughed quietly "if anything this place seems stressful. Far to slow for me." She shiffted her weight from foot to foot, and again pushed her hair away from her face. "But I guess for calmer people it can be nice."
"Where do you work now?"
"Coffee shop. Also a slow place. Unless its rush hour or before work or school." Enyln let her eyes wonder behind him just in time to see her grandma.
Aydian followed her gaze and turned around. "Oh, there she is. Where are you two headed. If you're leaving I can check you out,"
"That'd be wonderful if you could." Enyln gave her grandma a half hug when she had made her way over. "And to the gardens. I figured it'd be fun."
“Okay I’ll check you out,” he smiled. “Actually. Do you mind if I walk with you? I could use a break,”
Enyln opened her mouth to respond, but her grandma quickly cut in to the Convsation, "why that'd be lovely!" She exclaimed in a happy voice. Enyln just rolled her eyes and nodded her head.
Aydian grinned and grabbed his keycard. “Thanks,” he said as he circled around the desk, showing how tall he was.
Enyln had to take a dubbel take at his height, as she asummed they stood on a raised platform behind the desk. "Well then. Shall we?" Enyln linked arms with her grandma, signalling that they where ready.
“We shall,” he chuckled and walked beside her excitedly.
Enyln gave a small awkward smile before beginning to walk out to her car. "So I was thinking we'd drive, as it'd be bit of a walk. Wanna follow in your car or ride with us?"
“Is it okay if I ride with?” He asked nervously.
"Yeah totally. Just don't end up being a murder that's gonna kill us, okay?" Enyln shot a joking grin at him, as she unlocked her car.
His nerves melted a little. “I’ll try. But hey, no promises. “
"Oh gosh." Enyln shook her head with a laugh and slid into the drivers side. Her grandma climbed into the back, as she was always trying to hook Enyln up with guys, and saw the best was for this to go was to sit in the back.
Meanwhile, Aydian was oblivious. He got into the car with a brilliant smile. He was so happy to have a break.
Enyln rolled her eyes at her grandma before starting the car. "So. Even been to the gardens before? They're absolutely beautyful this time of year."
"I'm not sure I've been there since I was young, actually,"
"Well then, this might be the best brake of your life." Enyln smiled sweetly.
The car ride wasn't long, but to Enylns ever building Anxity it seemed like forever.
"So, do you work at the coffee shop across the street from the book store? I go to that one a lot and I'm surprised I never saw you working,"
"Yeah actually. But if you don't see me its probably because I'm working in the back during rush. Dealing with people isn't really my thing."
Aydian laughed, "That makes sense. I go in the morning before work, I love coffee. But with the morning rush, yeah… that makes sense."
"Ha, coffee can be an addiction, careful."
A few more turns and they arrived. Enyln hopped out to get the door for her grandma. Knowing it could be a bit difficult some times.
"Do you need any help?" Aydian got out as well. He figured if he was going to be intruding on their time together, the least he could do was try and help where he could.
