She looked up at him, her eyes wide and filled with tears. "What?" she whispered.

“Who cares what other people think,” He places his hand on her cheek and wiped away a tear, “You're beautiful and smart and funny and talented and… you’re so lovely. And anyone who can’t see that can piss off. Paige I-“ He swallowed and placed a light, lingering kiss to her lips, “I think you’re the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen.”

Her first thought was, He doesn't mean it. Her second thought was, Oh, God, he does. I'm in love.
"I… I'm not…" She tried to talk but the words died at her lips.

“Yes, yes you are, and you don’t know how much it hurts me to see you talk down to yourself because you’re all of those things.” Colton pushed and strand of her hair out her face.

"I… I don't know what to say," she whispered.

“Then don’t say anything and let me kiss you again.” Colton smirked.

"Okay," she said breathlessly. Her heart was pounding in her chest.

Colton pressed his lips gently against hers again. A kiss light as a feathers and could have been mistaken for a summers breeze.

She hardly breathed, her mind racing.

He pulled back after a second, only to come back in and kiss her again.

She let every burden slid off of her shoulders as she kissed him. Her arms wrapped around his neck softly. Everything was forgotten.

The kiss deepened and it went for a few more minutes before Coltkn eventually pulled back.

Paige opened her eyes, not remembering when she'd closed them. She tried to catch her breath. "That was… nice," she said, a smile appearing on her features.

Colton smiled back, “Yeah, it was… a-and if you want we could, only if you want wang too, we could do it more often…”

She nodded, still in euphoria. The bell rang somewhere beyond the paradise.

“Come on, we need to get to class.” Colton said, pressing a kiss to her lips before taking her by the hand.

She smiled and followed him. "Where's your next class?" she asked, her head still partially in the clouds.

“Science, yours?” He asked, giving her hand a squeeze.

"English," she answered, her eyes darting around.

Colton nodded, “Oh, okay. Need a lift home after school?”

"Yes, that would be nice."

“Great, I’ll see you outside the school then.” He pressed a kiss to her cheek before heading into his class.

She smiled widely and headed off to English class.

The be,l rang fir end of class and Colton hurried off to the front of the school. He waited somewhat impatiently for Paige.

She rushed as quickly as she could to meet him. Her backpack was hitched up on her shoulders and she let it drop back to normal as she approached him.

Colton looked over to her and smiled, “Hey there, ready to go?”

"Yup!" she chirped, happy whenever she was around him.

“Come in then.” He chuckled and took her hand.

She quickly entwined their fingers and checked over her shoulder. She didn't want to admit it, but she was checking for Bryson or her mom out of instinct.

Colton gave her hand a small squeeze to reassure her that everything would be fine. After a minute or so walk, they made it to his bike.
